The "hold my beer - joke" doesnt work here in Germany. Cause NOBODY holds my beer! Dont touch it..
Fass mein bier an und ich mach aus dir mischbrot!
Ich glaub es hackt!? Hast du grad mein bier angefasst?
yeah lol like this one dont ever touch my beer lol i am a non drinker but i live germany
Actually, it is considered heroic fooling around, falling on your face and not spilling a drop of "kühles blondes" (cool blond, beer), expressed by the person doing it with a teethless smile and sparkling eyes (at least until you get old enough to appreciate the value of a normal-teethed face), replied to by a cheerful acknowledgement from the watching crowd. whhoooeeeyyyy
Also, we Germans don’t have humor! Not. Funny!
We Germans show our patriotism by watching all the reaction videos about Germany and seeing how people react to how great we are - its like a quiet version of patriotism :D

Well the gluten free situation is becoming better and despite de video description if you are vegetarian/vegan its quite easy to live here. Vegetarianism and Reformhäuser (shops where you can buy goods, that support a healthy life style) have a long tradition in Germany. Berlin is kind of the vegan capital of Europe and thanks to many "flexitarians" (semi-vegetarians) you can get more and more vegan products in regular supermarkets
If you want gluten free.... just eat a Schnitzel and man up by ordering a beer with it.
i am like 100% german and watching this video makes me appreciate my country a little bit more. it is also very interesting to see germany from another point of view bc as german you are criticizing the country more often than appreciating it or being proud to be german. and yes we aren't really patriotic. It's called Lower Saxony cause the altitude is lower than the actual Saxony. It has nothing to do with it being north or south.
Especially if you take into consideration, that older maps do not always have north at the top of the map
It has also nothing to do with the altitude.
The same is true of how they classify the German dialect continuum. Southern Germany has High German dialects; Northern Germany has Low German dialects.

I'm German and vegan... while traditional german cuisine is very meat-heavy, there is a lot of international cuisine in Germany as well which offers a lot more vegan and vegetarian options. For example, turkish restaurants often offer delicious falafel dishes which are vegan or atleast vegetarian.
Atleast among the young generation, there is also a largely growing number of vegans and vegetarians, and nowadays a wide variety of vegan substitute products is offered in supermarkets in Germany. Nowadays you can find a lot of vegan cheese, milk, yoghurt, sausages, patties etc. products in supermarkets that have gotten better and better over the years and are very delicious.
Actually, german + vegan is probably the combination that eats the highest amount of bread, because bread is usually vegan as long as you don't put something non-vegan on it lol.

When you drive 30 Minutes out of a town in the US:
- nothing there
When you drive 30 Minutes out of a town in Germany:
- different dialect and be careful if you still wear the football shirt of the town you started
Lower Saxony is called this way because it is mainly plains as opposed to hills/mountains ( which would be "upper").

I've lived in Germany for 16 years and haven't heard of a single tornado
They haven't been a thing until recently (climate change) but just very small once Americans would laugh over them

Are tornadoes really much of a thing Europe in general?
Lower Saxony is "Lower" because its laying in the north german "Tiefebene" (Deep Planes or lower planes which means basicly flat plains compared to sea level)
Halftimbered houses are also found in northern germany not only in bavaria. for example the building at @8:43 is made in Celle a City in lower saxony not in bavaria.
As a german, I really enjoyed the Video :)
