I did a 6 inch BDS lift on my 22 lariat used exact same rims n tires also added the airlift bags in the rear with the wireless remote compressor for the sag when towing. Truck looks amazing!!!
Wow what a process, it looks badass man! Great job. Makes me wish I could have the balls to tackle something like this with my 21 F-150 3.5 non powerboost. Maybe one day!
I have a raptor now and I’m considering getting a lariat or platinum and your videos are definitely very informative and things I can do to the truck which I ever decide! Thank you!
Solid video man! To control the squat you can always get a pair of RAS HD's. Those have been total game changers for my PB and the best part? I did not lose any articulation at all and the ride is somehow even smoother.
@@joshualorenz4665 a LOT of work. I used a pry bar to pry it up and get to it but it was a nightmare. Also, I would de-energize the power boost system because that’s all super high voltage wiring there. Be careful.
I was worried when you started that you wouldn't be able to get out of your garage with the additional height. Glad everything ultimately worked out, and the truck looks great!
Sweet video. Looking to do it on my 24. Quick question, how tall is your garage door? I’d love to do it in my garage not out on the street but want to make sure I can actually get it back out… 😂
I felt that broken bolt in my soul!! The labor industry is in shambles. Nobody puts pride in their work. Better do your own work or pay someone a lot of money to break it for you!!!!!!
The real question is how much did this lift and wheel and tire setup affect your hybrid engine. Mpg, response, electric mode etc. I want to do the same thing but I hear a lot of people say that it affects the truck even with just a 3 inch lift. I want 35s and 24s on mine btw.
Those wheels? I saw in a previous question the customer purchased himself but did you happen to notice if they were 12 wide of 10 wide and I’m assuming 20”
Truck looks awesome. I’m ready to trade up my 19 FX4 eco boost I’m leaning towards a tremor but I drive about 40k per year how has the hybrid been since you got it sorted and is there a big difference in mileage from regular eco to hybrid?
I don’t think the hybrid is a fantastic MPG play, even before I started modding it, I didn’t think it made a big difference for me. That said, I also don’t drive with MPG in mind, I’m hard on the gas and also fast on the highway in a city where 65mph is the speed limit but 80mph is common flow of traffic. If I lived back in my hometown of Buffalo where speed limits were 55 mph and state troopers wrote speeding tickets for 65+ I would anticipate much better economy. I bought my hybrid for capabilities of idling with AC on electric here in Phoenix without running the motor and the generator as a family safety net incase of natural disaster.
@GearsGadgets So you don't shy away from hard work, which makes it even more impressive. I would never undertake that kind of project. That's why I love to watch your content...watch you sweating it out instead of me ☺️. Keep up the great work!
I am also considering the option of lifting the car, but the fact that the car will behave differently and there is no return to the basic configuration stops me
Good job on installing the kit, but the main thing is fantastic job on the videography, spot on!
Great content creator! You get down to the point, very entertaining, and showing the audience that things can be done yourself

Well deserved. What a nice looking truck. Would love to see the (real) off road test. I am following your lead. Thanks again 😊
Thanks. Real off-road test coming in the future.
you are the man!!!
Congrats man,well done

How did you get the passenger side coil over out? I can’t figure out how to get a wrench on that third nut. The bracket is in the way. Thanks 🙏🏼

lol me too. 2" to spare.

Same! Great video. I’m curious… I assume you have an 8’ garage and not 7’?
You almost got me with that b-roll music. I see what you did there 👀
lol wasn’t sure how long, if ever someone would catch my friendly trolling.
Very nice work.
Look good dan love F150 videos
Knowing what you know now would you have gone with the BDS kit?
I wonder if King can modify just that one shock for you somehow so you can use the kit you originally wanted?
Truck looks great, do you have the part numbers on the front coil overs and rear shocks want to upgrade mine.
What are you doing with the old bilsteins? Are they for sale? Let me know id be interested. Thanks man looks great.

share your opinion on how it became to drive a raised car ?
What wheels are those and size? They look great

you ever experience any highway steering wheel shimmy after the 6" lift install? seems like a handful of guys have this problem.
"8 hours bro. we'll take her for a spin after dinner" lol

what size wheel do you have? a 20 or 22?
Great Job !!! What size are your Toyo tires ?
Thanks. LT285 /75 R18
What are the specs on the wheels? Any rubbing?
question so do you basically have the bds lift?
Hows the Z flasher holding up?
What tires size and brand is it?
Watching this and thinking “bro you’re nuts “
Did you ever once ask yourself "What the hell did I get myself into?"
Not seriously no. I was oddly composed and confident through the entire process.
I'd like to propose rehoming your leveling kit setup to me, pls
lol sorry already gone.
Dude, that is impressive! I take it you're a mechanic by trade? Im new to the channel...😅
I am NOT a mechanic by trade. Construction project manager turned software sales.

Whats wrong with BDS?
Don’t know, I don’t have any experience with BDS.
@@GearsGadgets thought i saw BDS upper control arms on your truck
@@turnandburnroadtripssouthe8432 you did but those weren’t part of the lift kit, I installed those when I did the bilstein 6112’s a while back.
Question Dan do you not like foreign cars? Are you big 3 only?
I don’t have anything against foreign cars at all. I am actually a huge fan of the last gen Tundra, not a big fan of the new body style.
I had my lift kit put in by professionals, not me..... 😂
Smart.
As a mechanic i absolutely hate lifting kits. I dont do aftermarket at all. Lifting is not a repair. Its customizing.
Definitely not a repair for sure.
Wanna sell your old shocks?!
Sure, DM me on IG.
Dude that sucks next time make sure you check manufacturer site 🤷♂️
Certainly a lesson learned.
