Lucas is such a great guy!! love seeing his collection!
He’s a wicked dude
This was such an AWESOME video! I really enjoy seeing other keepers and breeders collections. You can really see how dedicated these people are when it comes to their frogs, business, and quality of products (The fruit fly culture process was amazing!). I would love to see more videos like this in the future. Be it frogs, snakes, lizards, or other awesome animals. With awesome keepers!
Sounds good Alex! I will certainly try and arrange some things in the near future!
Thank you! It’s been many years of dedication to get to this level. We aren’t done yet!! We are looking to take things to the next level in the next couple years
Even I’m curious about what that means 🤔
I so miss waking up to that sound.
It's such a calming sound!
@@MikeTytula yeah it is. I had on an old phone 10 hours of my darts calling. After I moved from Cali to Germany I would play it for hours in the morning, but unfortunately that phone completely died and I lost everything that was on it. Wish I would've thought to backup everything on my comp but it just never occurred to me.
I think the reason my phone died was prolonged use of a power converter.
The morning chorus is amazing to wake up to!
Sorry to hear that man! That’s quite the move to embark on, I hope it went smoothly
@@MikeTytula It ok, just reminds me to back up my phone every once in a while now. Yeah it was, been 7 years sense I moved here with my wife. We have sense then had 3 children. So definitely worth the move.
Hey Mike, loved the video. I can't get enough of the bio active terrariums. It would be nice to see close ups and names of each individual species and some close ups of the different stages of the tadpoles. That's what us frog nerds love to sit here and look at : D. I definitely wouldn't mind some 20-30 minute videos, you have a good vibe. Great vid bud!
Thanks for watching Evan it looks like you found the other video I made at their place, so that's good!
Fantastic video my man! Really really enjoyed this one! 😎👏🏼🎉🐸
Glad you enjoyed dude! Appreciate the support :)
i love these big room tours thanks for the vid
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it :)
Can't go wrong with a frog video - thanks!
hah Thanks Linda!
This was really cool. Thanks for this video, it was pretty interesting to get to see this. Great job on this video.
Also, just one year ago you earned yourself 50k subs. I noticed that you're about to have 61k. Great job on that, that's very impressive. Keep up the great work!
Thanks man! The growing is slow, but at least we are growing!
geeze, what a cool room! Did you catch what those strip lights are that they're using on the racks?
@SimplyBetta we us mostly sunblaster LED however we are experimenting with a couple other brands very similar.
Lucas got you covered on the plants question haha
Jungle Jewel Exotics thank you! Your whole room is #goals for me
You’ll get there
Lovely video! Thanks again Mike!
Thanks for watching!
Damn, you have really grown. You barely get any views tho, you have 60.5k subs but only 800 views? I remember that shrimp tank you had, wonderful channel. I loved that you respond to nearly every comment. Bless your heart.
haha it's rough honestly, trying to bring some consistency and hopefully a few more people will follow
@@MikeTytula I wish you luck, I remember so many old frogs, also saw you were getting rid of Bane?
I did end up selling him, I made a video about it about a week ago.
awesome visit to my favorite place in town thx man for the vid !!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Wow. Dedication great video really enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed the video!

Wyatt Prosch they are amazing creatures!
Would have loved to see more impressions of the tanks :) like a cinematic part. But nice vid! I’m gettin my first frogs in some weeks, so, I’m pretty excited 😊
Theres a new video I just posted that shows more of a walkthrough
Beautiful frogs..WOW!
There are plenty of incredible frogs!
THAT BLOKE IS MICK FOLEY!!!! BANG BANG
lol what?
Good video, do a frog room tour and show more frogs. 👍
I kinda did one! I'll see if I can throw a tour together!
Wow lol I should have gotten into frogs lol much less space taken up with 16 of those as opposed to 16 snakes that mostly all need decent sized enclosures lol
haha ya snakes (depending on what species) take up way more room!
Awesome job greetings from Costa Rica!👏👏👏lovely
Glad you enjoyed! :)
Great video Mike, I love your visits at Jungle Jewels! I just have a question about using the mite masher, doesn't the pumice affect the flies ?
doesn’t seem like it?
In our experience, the food grade DE only kills a few of the weakest flies. However the white agricultural DE kills everything. So we use that in our trays to create moats.
Omg Lucas Neter! Love him from Scaled 😃
Haha it sure is!
Awe thanks!! ❤️
They are beautifull!!! i´ve read about oophaga speciosa been extinct in the wild!! do you guys know if they still exist in captivity?
Never seen them in captivity before! Not in Canada for sure
@@MikeTytula i´ve read that oophaga speciosa may still exist in captivity in Europe. i hope so.
What were they using to prevent grain mites infection?
It's a product they sell, mite masher it's called.
What is the plant the frog is on at 5:09?
It's a species of Begonia! I can't remember what species though.
@@MikeTytula Of course it's a begonia! They are my favorite!
Sophia that’s begonia soli matata it’s a lovely plant. You can see it takes up the whole space if that tank. It’s an exoterra 18” cube
@@JungleJewelExotics Thank you! It is beautiful!
How to prevent root rot in plants in the paludarium?Thank you
Not easily, pick the right plants that can adapt to the soaking conditions.
Dendrobates tummuqumaque is legal here now, how about Canada?
They look so sick
In the states? They have always been legal in Canada
Amazing...
Thanks!
I want to move into that place!
It's pretty epic!
Is it a secret whats in the ff food mix? Doesnt the diatomaceous earth kill the fruit flies also?
In theory it would but because they are just lightly dusted the flies will just clean off any residue.
Don Wells I’ve found that the dark food grade DE only kills off a few of them. However the white DE for agriculture kills everything. Which why we use in the the bottom of the trays. Any escaping flies don’t make it out of the moat.
@@JungleJewelExotics thanks for this. I live in Asia and we only have a very white kind so called food grade. Wingless Fruit flies here are precious as gold almost.
@@JungleJewelExotics i will give it a try. Ive used for mites and works a charm.
Where can I get mite masher?
Shoot them an email and you should be able to order it!
What to feed
Flightless fruit flies
What 😟 UA-cam is on a roll
haha what do you mean??
Can we order the Mite Masher from them. ? I don’t see it on there website.
You could email them if it's not on their site.
200 vivariums I'm over here with 1 that turns into a desert in a couple months
lol how so?
what is in the dry media food mixed?
They mix and sell their own media!
can someone please explain me what he coated the FF in to prevent mites? thank you
He explains it in the video lol
@@MikeTytula i'm not native english speaker. i don't get what it is :D
like, antimite powder? isn't harmful to the flies?
It's called Diatomacious earth
@@MikeTytula thank you!
Can you pick up a dart frog in your hand?
I don't recommend it
@@MikeTytula Thank You.
@@bevandarke2300 Thank You for answering.
That second comment wasn't true at all, Dart frogs in captivity are harmless to us but our oils and things can harm them.
@@MikeTytula Oh ok great. I love frogs and toads and am thinking about setting up a bio tank for one.
Mad
What>
I love frogs.i collect frogs turtles bunnies squirrels and pandas
interesting haha
can anyone tell me what the dry media is ? im not sure it was stated.
The fruit fly media? It is their own media mix
@@MikeTytula ah right, cheers bud. Must be super secret stuff.
haha I have fruit fly media recipes on my channel if you are wondering what I use!
@@MikeTytula sweet I will check it out, not a big amphibian person but plan to be lol
Awesome! Once you get your first darts you'll want them all.
DO YOU FEEL JUMPY 🤣🌈🌈🌈🌈🙈👍🏻
lol terrible pun! A for effort though
Sooooo cute but so much work :(
Definitely a lot of work
