Bro u forget about the fact that.. if they release pre nerf ulduar BUT upgrade all items by so mutch ilvl.. it will be easier ! Bcs ur gear is mutch mutch better ! its like playing pre nerf ulduar with old TOC gear !
Thats true itll be easier once you grab some uld10 hm and uld25 normal gear but even still prenerf has unforgiving mechanics that a lot of current players arent up to that level. Uld prenerf is pretty close to retail raiding

I’m pretty sure there were also buffs to hard modes in the post 3.2 hotfixes. A lot of the nerfs after 3.0 were because the trash was overtuned and the bosses were buggy. There was lots of artificial difficulty too that made some hms not fun.
The damage nerfs were mostly to the first 5-6 bosses and only normals anyways because the casuals couldn’t get past Ignis trash lol

Well their biggest regret when ulduar was actually retail wotlk was rushing through it cuz it pissed off a ton of players. Theyre prob more concerned with keeping ulduar current and having short toc and naxx phases which is all smart imo
@@NLGwotlkclassic but both of these options extend ulduar phase, you can either increase ulduar levels or decrease the following raid levels, i personally thought the biggest issue that wotlk had was the way new raids completely invalidated previous raids unlike tbc and vanilla where for the most part all raids stayed relevant and your time spent isn't invalidated by the next patch
how come you only aim to go 2pc T8 and not 4pc? Isn't 5% crit kinda huge on shadow bolt?
I mean, i understand the stats on T8 aint the best for affliction.. but 5% crit seems kinda big to skip?
@@donvigo4103 It's actually quite bad. If shadowbolt were to do 40% of your dps, that 5% crit is only applicable to 40% of your DPS. From that alone you can see it's only practically worth 2% crit chance across your entire dmg breakdown. Taking this into consideration you can either go for "2%" crit chance (around 90 crit strike rating) vs whatever other more favorable stats you can gain by straying away from the tier set. I reckon if you could even gain 1% haste this way it'd be more worth it. Or even like 40 spellpower would be more worth it.
Ulduar also gives affli locks a lot of opportunities to multidot which further reduces the value of the 5% SB increase since on multidot fights you will naturally cast SB fewer times.

@@donvigo4103 I just checked and the 4p set bonus increases both Incinerate and SB crit chance so I reckon they'd still likely take the 4p set bonus over more raw stats elsewhere. Although there are 3 ilvl 239 pieces they could take instead of tier set which might be more worth going for still.
I don't actually know in the end though. It's not as clear cut as affli lock is I think.

And i guess if Blizzard really goes through with the ilvl change, the set items will be less valuable since they will be stuck at ilvl 226, while some hardmode 25 will be ilvl 251, and 10 man hard mode at 244 which is kinda insane
Wondering what you think about sundial vs Illu for demo? Wowsims says sundial is better PDPS for every fight length by a decent margin which seems insane to me.
Well really the sims are fkn garbage half the time check if the dmg even changes on fight length most times it doesnt even update
But sundial on short fight for sure imo, especially with illu being toxic to prestack without wasting ur other procs prepull. 600sp for 10 every 45s on any fight under 3min seems like itd outweigh static 200sp esp with how bursty demo is on lust meta combo
Plus crit is p nice on demo
@@NLGwotlkclassic yeah I was hating my life prestacking it last raid. Swapping trinks and cloak and trying to line up perfectly with the pull is so annoying. Got one rank one parse but it seems like all the other rank ones for demo are curse+sundial
