Great overview
Thank you!
Hi. Thanks for the very informative video. Do you know if the battery is removable and replaceable? And do you know the height range aince it has a stopper on the seat post?
Hello Sandy, I don't recall seeing the battery when folding it, and gave the ebike to a family member so I can't check. I suspect you would unscrew the lower section of the rear frame to remove the battery if you ever needed to replace it. I lowered the seat post, and it fit someone that was 5'2". I'm sure someone over 6' could fit it too.
@@ColinLeung Thanks Colin! That's great as long as the battery should be able to be replaced. I have the Onebot S1 and the battery is enclosed and could be a pain to replace it. So I was thinking about upgrading to the S7 bc it looks like it might be easier to replace the battery. And I was concerned about the handlebars not being able to be raised up and down like the S1 but if it goes as low as 5'2" it shouldn't be a problem. I also have the foldable Lectric XP Lite. Even though it's called lite it's quite heavy lol but the S7 is more compact with 16" wheels unlike the 20" on the Lectric XP. My Lectric XP I ride for long trips and the Onebot for short rides. Thanks so much again for answering my questions!
@@sandyweeks5302 You're welcome!
Hi Colin, thanks for your review. Compared to s2, s7 is more powerful or comfortable to ride? What are the noticeable benefits over s2? Also, seat in s2 is very high for an average height girl. Is s7 also high?
Hello Sharon, performance wise they're about the same. The difference is in the frame geometry. The S7 has bigger tires (16" vs 14" on the S2) which is smoother to ride, folds, and the seat height is taller than the S2.
The S2 has a slightly larger battery with a range of 3 more miles, and weighs about 4lbs less (44 vs 40 lbs). I hope this helps
Hi Colin: have you played with the programming modes on the LCD display? I figured out how to toggle from km to miles in Program mode P1 (and that’s all I really wanted to do) but I may have inadvertently changed the settings in Program P2 through P5. Do you know what the factory settings should be for P2 through P5?
Hello Kurt, I found a video from DAD that shows the P2 through P5 settings. I hope this helps!

@@ColinLeung Thanks!
@@ColinLeung Unfortunately this person is reviewing the T6F, which has larger wheels than the S7. I assume that’s why the value for P2 is different, because I think it has something to do with wheel diameter/circumference and the speed calculation. Interestingly, he also does not have a P5 mode like the S7 does.
@@ColinLeung I emailed ONEBOT customer support. Hopefully they’ll provide a comprehensive response, to include what all the P2 through P5 mode values should be and exactly what they mean. I’ll post their reply here, if/when I get it. :-)
@@cycles.unplugged_inc Sounds good!
I've been eyeing this bike. I love my Viribus 14" but it may be discontinued. I also love a suspension seat.
The suspension seat is nice. The Viribus looks like a cool ebike. I'm seeing that it's out of stock on Newegg.

I can't figure out how to get the $200 coupon from your link. Please advise.
Hello Rob, when I added the ebike to my cart using the first link I see 5% and $200 off at checkout. amzn.to/3XKlt24
If that doesn't work try this link first and the the previous. amzn.to/3P4iRs5
Only problem i have with this is that the battery is small. 5.8 ah is not enough. Is the battery easily replaced?
Hello Steve, I do not have the ebike anymore, but I'm sure you can mod the wiring to take a bigger battery. Whether it'll fit inside the frame is another question. You can always mount an exterior battery on a rack of some sort.
Is this the City Folding version with a torque sensor? 🤔
Hello, based on their website it seems like they only have one S7 that is the City Folding model with a torque sensor. www.onebotbike.com/product-detail.html?param=21
@@ColinLeung Cool... I contacted them about the City Folding model for more information about it.
In ur Amazon link, it says the motor is 350w max, so... Who is telling the truth?
Hello, the motor is rated for 250W continuous, but has a peak of 350W. Continuous wattage refers to how much power the motor can handle on a continuous basis, while peak wattage is the highest amount of power a motor can output under stress. Most e-bikes market their continuous wattage but offer a higher peak wattage that becomes useful while climbing hills or going faster.
Jetson bolt is more powerful and cheaper
Yes, the Jetson Bolt Pro is cheaper and has a 350W motor. The S7 is larger unfolded with 16" wheels compared to the 13" on the Bolt, and feels more sturdy.

Award without a front shock? No way, it was fixed
Hello Steve, I'm not too familiar with the award requirements. I suspect the fixed fork makes it lighter and less susceptible to failure.
way over priced i would not buy this either , bikes cost way too much
Thanks for the comment. How much do you think it's worth? It's currently on sale for $474, and I would pay the difference over a Jetson Bolt Pro at $399 at MSRP. It would be nice if the S7 had a larger motor, and higher top speed though.
@@ColinLeung i will look in to this further ....
