- Broadcasting legend Angela Rippon has been a familiar face and voice on our screens for over 50 years, and this year she wowed us with that leg lift as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. After being eliminated from the competition at Blackpool Tower Ballroom Angela joins us for her first interview to reflect on her time in the show, and share her thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s semi-final. She’ll also be telling us why she has no plans to slow down and that there is definitely a space for women over 50 on television.

I feel Angela, was treated badly on strictly, for all she could do at her age. It was much more impressive than the young group...
Right? Like I get it wasn’t as fast as the others but all dances were for the most part, technically correct! It’s not like she was going on there saying “I’m gonna win just bc I’m 78!” She was going on to spread the message that anything is possible at any age! I personally loved her.
