We all have different tastes but I dont think Im the only one that thinks Amber is gorgeous. Looks just like the jewel of the same name and brings a candlelight type of warmth in decor items.
The dragon and the picture...fabulous. Love the jadeite duck, I recently found my first piece of jadeite in the wild, a collie. The thrill is in the hunt! Have a lovely day everyone!!!!!!
The choir boy candles are Gurley Novelty candles made here in Buffalo NY. They were made with leftover paraffin from the process of refining oil. The oil company is now known as Exxon Mobile. They sell well!
Gr grandma Kathy here I'm so excited to see another video always when I get home at night from watching my mom it gives me a chance to unwind love you girl keep up the good work I'm very very proud of all the things that you do you're so strong and it's a blessing to see you give a hug to all the little ones and your hubby alrighty love you
That glass with the blue swirl is a ‘Kosta Boda Margarita glass’ made specifically for the ‘Royal Caribbean Cruise’ ships. Most were made in the US, New York Glass factory. When I was wanting to acquire a set each glass was between $20 to $30 and sold separately. Luckily I picked three up here in Australia. Your video was fun. Sensible haul. Enjoy.
That blue & white vessel at 3:41 was put out by Eli Lilly for salesmen to give to doctors. I have a complete set as my dad worked for Eli Lilly from 1965 - 1995.
@@suedefringe No, none of them came with a lid. There are ancient medical terms written on them. One is a short white one with brown writing that’s an inhaler (a replica, so not for actual use)…I also have a set of 4 apothecary jars with lids - Hunter green, burgandy, navy blue & white. Several other doodads that have the “Lilly” logo in cursive on them.
When I find something that isn't priced, I find someone working on the floor and they take in the back and get it priced. The cashier at the checkout doesn't always price it.
Jocelyn i'm glad you picked up the vintage candles. My mom had the same ones in the 60s maybe earlier. I've been looking on E-BAY for them to buy and you find a whole bag. Depending how much your selling them for I would love to buy them. Unless your going to keep them for yourself. Good find.
I mean nothing by this, but I laughed out loud when you put the coffee canister back b/c screwing on a finial you have at the shop was too much of a "project" but stripping the paint of that pitcher wasn't. Curiosity aside, the finial would have taken mere seconds. Hope we get to see the stripped pitcher once that's done. Nice finds. I wish I had Goodwills like this. Mine are totally lame.
@Crazy Lamp Lady I meant no insult or anything. It literally made me laugh. I make decisions like that too, sometimes you just HAVE to figure something out. I'm curious about the pitcher now, too. The coffee canister was pretty and cute too, and a finial would have made it complete.
That Big (NUTCRACKER) REMINDS ME OF MY DAUGHTER 😢. SHE PASSED AWAY IN MARCH 2022. SHE WAS ONLY 25 YEARS OLD 😢 SHE LOVED CHRISTMAS 🎄 & NUTCRACKERS. THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE REALLY DIFFICULT 😥
Hugs 💗 Prayers for your hurting heart.May you find a little something to make you feel her with you. I lost my Sissy then Sweet Momma 2wks apart last August. I miss them so much. Forever with us 💞
I also love Amber and that beautiful ceramic goblet is beautiful!. Sometimes you have to buy what others like.😮 Super great dragon painting.! I love kids art! I have also bought it.
I can’t wait to see that pitcher after the paint is removed. I absolutely love it’s organic shape! It’s sad when people paint vintage items & change their integrity. I love the amber piece you picked up & the Italian green glass vase. Great finds this trip! Thank you, as always, for sharing. xo
I removed paint from a large pagoda shaped Haeger Lamp. I simply soaked it in soapy water and peeled off the paint a bit at a time. The glaze was a beautiful turquoise. Can’t imagine why anyone would want to cover such a pretty lamp with white paint.
I love high school clay projects! My friend gave me an amazing kneeling woman that she made in high school. I have a blue glaze lion head bookend thing. My favorite though is a red clay, blue glaze, person riding an open mouth fish. It’s amazing! It looks like maybe a character from some anime or something. I like to put things in the fish’s open mouth.
At 9:52 there was an old teacup display stand. Those can be great to pick up and list with teacups. People REALLY like those. I have sold sets of teacups and people said they wanted just the stand. They are always NFS in antique stores.
The first piece you picked up was a Kosta Boda art glass martini glass, the one with the medallion. I love those, I found two of them at a thrift store and they are now listed!
That clay dragon is amazing. The owl was too 🥰. My mom collects thrift store child project clay orphans. They are the BEST original artwork out there! 🙂
At 2.08 when you are looking at the bottom plate for a planter right next to it like a pampered chef stone wear baker sells for about 30-60 on Ebay just sayin
Yall looking in the wrong places I guess... I like my GW .. I'm in the PNW too.. I've found many very nice things. A Louie V I sold for over 300 a fire and light candle holder sold for 320 and a glassy baby I'm keeping for myself!
Definitely put the Gurley candles in your booth especially for Christmas if they’re in good condition and depending on the size you can get 8 to 10 bucks apiece for them.
At least the northern Goodwill's price at the check out. In Georgia they have chosen to take it and send it back to be re processed. Which means not going to be sold. All it is going to do is make people take stickers off and put their own price on it. I'm not sure what they are thinking.
I just heard in a collectors podcast last week that amber glass is all the rage this year!! Wow! You really found some cool finds! Broke my ❤ to see someone's bronzed baby shoes at goodwill though.
The old white pitcher was probably covered with gesso or artists textural medium. If so, these are acrylic based and paint remover probably won't work. Otherwise, yougot a bunch of good stuff!
You didn't want a project by screwing on a finial on the canister you put back but you picked up the pitcher that you want to strip the paint off of. Which to me seems like more work🤷♀️😄
We all have different tastes but I dont think Im the only one that thinks Amber is gorgeous. Looks just like the jewel of the same name and brings a candlelight type of warmth in decor items.
I love it.
I collect amber
I like amber, as well.
I hate that Amber gets snubbed a lot. It’s gorgeous.
I agree, it's so warm yes! I love it and excitedly stocked my booth this fall with some nice amber with little interest.
Amber is not a boring color, it's a classic 👌 ✨️
The dragon and the picture...fabulous. Love the jadeite duck, I recently found my first piece of jadeite in the wild, a collie. The thrill is in the hunt! Have a lovely day everyone!!!!!!

Interesting❤❤❤
We had those little angel candles when I was a kid in the 60s. So cute.
Hope you’ll show us what the pitcher looks like after you remove the paint. Like the green vase.

OMGosh!!!!! That clay dragon is, as you say, EVERYTHING! Great video...these are always over much too quickly 😍
Farina is Latin for meal or flour. It’s also milled wheat used for hot breakfast cereal.
That blue & white vessel at 3:41 was put out by Eli Lilly for salesmen to give to doctors. I have a complete set as my dad worked for Eli Lilly from 1965 - 1995.
Curious , should it have a lid ? Thanks!
Ps pretty cool 😎 info

Those little wax choir boy/girl candles are from the 50's. Highly desirable! Love them!! Hope you get some good money for them.
Those vintage caroler candles took me back. We had a set of them growing up in the 60s.
A brass finial would look really nice on the coffee jar. It would match the coffee emblem on the front.
I would leave the painted pitcher. Love the Gurly candles.
Oh my goodness! We had those little wax choir children in our home growing up in the 50s! So sweet! I’d have grabbed them too! Great finds!

12:58 is a bag of Gurley candles!! Great find!
That’s what I thought!
@@Ajk1955 my heart skipped a beat when I saw that.
Oh my, those choir boy candles really brought back 1950’s vibe.

I was hoping you'd let us know what they priced those two items at that didn't have stickers. 😞
My grandmother had little kid Caroler candles like those in the bag. Hers were from the 50’s or before.

😂😂 I was thinking this through as I said it and I was like… the pitcher I just have to know… I couldn’t leave it.

OMG...those caroler candles are from my childhood. Mom had them all and set them out every year. so many in one place !
We did too! Precious and sweet!
Those caroler candles are Gurleys and you can get 8 to 10 bucks apiece for those.
My aunt worked at the Gurley Novelty factory here in Buffalo. We have every holiday imaginable. Love the turkeys and Pilgrims too!
On Saturdays its fun to play all day and the weather is getting colder. But the CLL will thrift today with baby Laurel in her stroller! 😜🧡🧡🧡🧡

Blue with orange stripe martini glass is Kosta Boda. Worth $7.00. Comes with other color stripes but rim is always blue. From a cruise.

That is so funny. Two dragons that match! A jadeite duck and the LE Smith too.
I have all my son’s clay art in my China cabinet. I love it!
Glad you got the pumpkin looking thing. Hope it is a good price
My gosh! Were they throwing dishes around!? Sure sounded like it!
At 2.08 when you are looking at the bottom plate for a planter right next to it like a pampered chef stone wear baker sells for about 30-60 on Ebay just sayin
Thanks for the tip
I have an olive green kitchen. Red accessories compliments it well! So does white, turquoise and butter yellow.
Joc, let us know what the pitcher looks like when you remove the paint. I’m curious!!
Your best deal is the baggie of candles!!!!!!
Your Goodwill is so much better than ours here in Oregon.
Washington State too!
San Francisco is plain garbage
I agree ours in KC suck.

North Carolina also.
You don’t have to buy something if it turns out it’s too expensive at the check out. ☺️
My thoughts exactly!
I think that jadeite duck is going to glow.
The vase that is pained also has like a baking soda finish. Hope it comes off easy for you.
That dragon was just perfect!!
The blue bird serving dish with lid wud sell well about $25 to 35 if perfect at 2:33.
Hi Jocelyn,
Fun GW trip… love the clay Dragon and his self-portrait painting! Love the amber glass piece it is beautiful! Have a great day! …. Debbie
Definitely put the Gurley candles in your booth especially for Christmas if they’re in good condition and depending on the size you can get 8 to 10 bucks apiece for them.
I liked the amber LE Smith piece. I've never seen the split basket. You still had some nice finds.
Clay dragon and picture seem to enhance each other. Sell as a combo pack would be incredible
I agree...the pottery dragon was the star of this sopping trip.
Those vintage angel candles (baggie) are so nostalgic for me!!
Love seeing a new cart!❤
Fun video! Thank you! Love the dragon & the owl!
Oh wow, the 2 blue pottery goblets were so pretty🌺💕
Blue dragon art and blue dragon clay figurine. It’s matchy-matchy!
That glass vase is wild but I love it…it’s so different.😊Two dragons found at the Goodwill,it can’t get any better!😄🥰🐲🐉
The clay owl would've brought in a hefty profit. Great finds!
I actually like the Amber moon & stars piece.. I have my parents collection, I don’t have a piece that like however
Gurley vintage candles!
Was there a fight in the glass aisles? 😂 Based on the back ground clanking it sounds like it.😂
I also love amber glass! Always have. I also love clear glass. I know I am in the minority with that one:)
I was checking out an online auction in my area today and saw fairy lights! Thank you, I would not know to pick those up if not for your videos.
How do you find the online auctions?
@@mariaroldan4200 mostly thru AuctionZip.
Soooooo enjoyed the Elton John in the beginning, reminded me of my sweet mama 😇
The glass at the beginning with the medallion looks like the ones I got on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.
I would've picked up that Moon & Stars. I think Amber is great for all fall months or with MCM.
I have bought and sold the turtle shell before. It is Threshold for Target. I believe it sold for around $30 for me, it was about 9 months ago.

My local Goodwill stores will not sell an item if the price is missing. They will not add a price at the counter.
I bought a handmade maybe by a 2nd grader, little clay pot. It's was signed by A. Dick. I had to have ir.
Oh, boy. 😂
😂😂
Good choices.I love the dragon too.
Farina is a delicious wheat hot cereal. I make it frequently with butter and brown sugar mixed in.
That dragon was super cute!
Oh I love both pieces of dragon art! So cool. Great finds.
I LOVE the glass piece
Been looking forward to seeing a CLL video
I think the dragon would look great on a shelf by the dragon painting.
Gurley candles, Buffalo NY…your baggie
Do you hear the noise in the background? That’s how everything ends up chipped.
I think that unfinished bisque Christmas piece that was in the Box goes to a Christmas wreath where the company no longer makes the inserts
That dragon was my favorite also. He was so I cute. Thanks for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️
You might just be able to put the paint vase in hot water . Chemicals not needed. Give it a try 😉 I got paint off a heat vent return that way.
The bag of figures is carolers (candles). We had them when I was a kid in the fifties. Good decision to pick the up!
The little Christmas caroler candles are great.
Love that coffee canister.
I love your channel because you give us some history on pieces. Just not a five to ten minute histories. I can Google thank you. hahahaha
If you keep the clay dragon you need to keep the matching dragon picture, for display purposes of course 😉 😄
So glad you kept both dragons.
