aside from Incredible engineering, what amazed me the most is how they manage to keep the paint coat shining fresh like new, knowing that these machines suffer this assembling/dismantling/ traveling process every 2 weeks for almost eight months a year. This is an outstanding job!
Yes, very thick powder coating, then custom art work and another clear coat. To keep the paint shinny use a good wax which make another protection layer on top of all.
I've worked on old rides, Dodgem tracks, waltzers etc, but this is in a different league! Fair play to the guys that dreamed it up, designed and built it, and to the men in this video who build it up and pull it down, respect people!
I've set up a KMG Afterburner and it two trailer setup. I'm impressed at this ride has 3 trailers for its size. I like that the fact it is it own crane system to setup the ride. The LED Light package is Stellar.
Now we can see why these rides are so expensive to buy, set up and maintain. Anyone who complains about paying £5 or more to ride should watch this. Amazing.
@TheCoolStuffHD This is what me and my dad do in England but we make rides sell them and also travel with are ride but yes with the cons tent rain in England the field that we open in is wet muddy and hard to set the ride in and when it’s time to go after about 2 week of being open the weight of the ride sinks into the field making it extremely hard to get the rides out
I’m most amazed that the ride is designed and manufactured, and then someone figures out how to stack all the parts to it into a neat and concise rectangle that fits perfectly on a truck for transport.
Love to see these rides being setup btu you will never get me to ride one! My ultimate dream however is to one day help out setting up one of these rides.
WOW this thing is HUGE. Where i live we have an amusement park in Vancouver BC in canada called Playland and they recently added a park model KMG XXL ride just like this but it's called The Beast and doesn't have the jungle theme. The one Playland has is purple color but it's pretty much the same ride
This one looks like the Beast at Vancouver's Playland except that the one in Vancouver is a permanent park version and two rows of seats face inward while the other two rows face outward. It's an amazing and fun ride, probably my favourite at Playland.
Having done a season on the road with a show where our "nastiest" ride to set up/tear down was a super-himalaya (Two 50' boxes of cars, scenery, lights, sound system, and canvas, plus the centerload with sweeps, track, etc on a third trailer - 4 "regulars" plus 12-16 greenhelp, plus assorted show-folk who happened to wander by at the right moment for a "Hey, git over here - need an extra pair of hands for 5-10 minutes to get this fiddly bit done!" could get it set up in about 38 hours, and take it down in about 35) I'm left wondering what the "actual clock-time" for setup on this thing was. Looks like at least two (but I think I lost track, so maybe it was three) overnights, so I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-60 hours of setup time? Ain't gonna be doing many circus jumps with THIS ride as part of the show, I can tell ya that much!
Fastest we can usually pack the ride up is in 5.5 hours, we take our time with setup, but these days we can usually get it finished in around 10 hours and that’s including washing etc.
@@leonor7239 yep went on it this year and it went for nowhere near as long due to the 2 HOUR LONG LINES... but yes way stronger than freak out buttt i think i had more fun on freak out because it was less thrilling and more uncontrollably laughing with my friends.
gosh, that looks like very hard work! im guessing it would only be set up for long festivals? would someone hire this ride just for a single day with all the work involved in the set up?
Wow, amazing! It's like a giant metal praying mantis coming alive! Glad to see everyone using safety gear. It took 2 days to assemble it? Very cool. Definitely big bucks were needed to purchase that ride/machine! I would love to know about how much it costs to own it. I had no idea there was so much to it, all of those trucks, and it was so clean and spotless, every light worked, VERY VERY NICE!!! (How much does it cost for one rider?)
adina khan 1 second ago I wonder that when these guys were making this ride and when it got dark did these guys had a chance to go to sleep and eat as well ?
I'm pretty sure this was the Townsville Show in 2018 I'm too scared to go on it, I would go on freak out probably but not The Beast, maybe in a few years :P
Very impressive. But it’s quite an involved production for a ride that only holds 20 people. The Starship, directly behind it, holds 48. Huge difference in revenue potential, at probably 20% the cost.

I must say, these workers have done a fantastic job for putting “The Beast” together. 🙂
its a ride that it is it's own crane
It so cool how it comes together like that + nice backround song it fits the setup of the ride
I got distracted at watching the clouds moving😂
Lewys Jones LoL 😂
lol
I got distracted from the car that pulled in
I don't know what's more amazing. The people who assemble it or the people that engineered and built it.

I’d say both,

Yeah that was damn good engineering the way they designed it to be its own crane.
A three trailer monster! Definitely something for a one to two week "State Fair" or "July 4th" type of shindig...
Nah you would also see these at small local fairs too
That lighting package is something special
How i wish i was able 2 buy one of this rides n bring it to Africa .....am sure it would put smiles on kids over here 🙌🇰🇪
If I had the means brother I would definitely setup a few parks over there!!!

fantastic upload very interesting and very hard working men

What a show!
Military Museum well 15 dollars a person. 16 riders per cycle. 3-4 min ride length and for 2 weeks.
