Vocal Coach Analysis of VIRAL BEATBOX STAR: Taras Stanin (The Weeknd Cover)

  • In this video, I react for the first time to some mind blowingly beautiful beatboxing. Taras Stanin performs a cover of “Creepin’" AKA as “I Don’t Wanna Know”, also famously covered recently by The Weeknd. I analyse his amazing performance, explain and demonstrate (some of) his vocal techniques and ultimately tell you what I think made it so great. This is an iconic song anyway, quickly becoming even more iconic thanks to Taras exceptional version. His video deserves all the viral success it has already and more!

I've watched many years' worth of vocal coach reactions, numbering well past 30 coaches. You are, by FAR, the best analyst of the lot of them. Furthermore, you're the only one that can even partially replicate some of the techniques observed.

Wonderful Loli, thank your for reacting to this one, it definately deserves a spot here!🤩People actually HAVE called it out to be "fake" or greatly modified with effects, so TarasStanin uploaded an unedited version of it to clerify, and now with your reaction ontop, I hope even the last of anyones doubts about it being pure skill is removed from the world 😂

people still think metal screaming is faked because they cant scream that long. and thaey sold their soul to learn. Ive always been able to to focal fry and throat singing, weird goblins sounds. And there has been more than once someone thought I was elgit possessed. the fear in their eyes, funny as hell.
Im just kinda ASD and still make random sounds because the asd compells it. never tried to go beyond it.

I first watched Taras whilst withdrawing from Opiates a few weeks ago. Withdrawing from opiates makes everything about 50× more sensitive, like you've been skinned alive and your chest opened up.
I was so blown away by his skill that i cried like a baby. I'm now 4 weeks clean and can look back at it and laugh at my reaction.
But still can't take away from the fact the guy has incredible talent.

A very clever use of acoustics to highlight different sounds, given that they can't edit it. Fake and Autotune is this guy, Taras, and Improver, named so because of how much people call them fakes. Amazing beatboxer equaled with an amazing reaction, Always enjoy the "nerdy" bits as it helps to understand what is going on and how it can be replicated. When Taris is producing the bass out of his nose i think the t t t t t t t t is inwards as doing this outwards would be very difficult to maintain a constant bass sound as he would be switching the air from the nose to mouth and visa versa. Brilliant reaction look forward to seeing more beatboxing breakdown from you as they are always so intresting to watch and is very knowledgeable.Esh🔥👊🔥

It always fascinates me hearing about all the little intrucacies of even the smallest things that most people wouldn't notice. I was blown away when he popped up on my fy page on TT. I enjoyed listening to him, but REALLY wondered how he was making all those sounds. I knew it wasn't an "unplugged" version, but like you said, there has to be a base. Thank you for breaking it down, it all makes so much more sense now!
