Thanks mate, really appreciate the comment! That was a good layout you had! I was searching Flickr for some weathering reference pictures of 08624 and you're layout came up!
Thanks for the kind comment, really appreciate it! Wells Green TMD was certainly part of the inspiration for the layout, shame it's no longer on the circuit. It had it's debut at the Brockenhurst show this year, and will be at Poole this coming Sunday (15th). It should also be at the Rails show in New Milton in 2024.
Now that's a layout I've not heard of in a while! Dyserth Road was fantastic, though never did get to see it in the flesh. Did manage to see his next layout Holland Park, the working container cranes certainly drew a crowd!
Great looking layout. The 66’s sound so good 👍. I’ve one 66 on my layout currently but have an Accurascale EWS 66 on pre order. Do you mind if I ask how big the layout is??
Thanks mate, appreciate the comment! Hattons did a really good job with the sounds on the 66's, definitley one of the better factory sound installs. No doubt Accurascale will improve them even more! The main scenic board is 4ft by 2ft, with a 4ft by 1ft fiddle yard board.
I've bent a small piece of brass rod (think it was 0.6mm?) to shape that hooks over the upper and lower arms of the pantograph. It's a bit fiddly to fit but also means the pantogrpah can still either go full height or be clipped down when needed. To help it stay in place, a small notch was filed on the lower arm. So far, it's worked quite well! I had to come up with something as the Dapol catenary on the layout is quite flimsy.
Good video Andy, lovely little layout. I used to enjoy my Freightliner based layout "Redbrook Maritime".

Absolutely fantastic layout, can’t wait to see this on the exhibition circuit, lots of movement, reminds me a bit of Wells Green TMD 😃👍
I was thinking the same, the love child of Wells Green and Dyserth Road.

Really looking forward to the 15th with this cracking layout 😊
Thanks mate! It'll be great having you there as well!
Nice layout

Are those Biffa bins ready made or scratch built ?
They are ready made. They're a 3D printed item from Shedring Hobbies.
How havecyou modified the pantograph on 86s
