I have had that titanium Akrapovic installed recently on my 2017 model and I had a chat two weeks ago with some dude on the autobahn who had a Milltek on his RS6. We were both going in Switzerland and joined for the rest of the trip with our two monsters for 3 hours. We literally had a blast revving and flooring the cars (lots of sneaky roads and tunnels at the end). But before we split, we had a last « cigarette stop » and he came to me with his german accent : « honestly your car sounds better. It’s not as loud as mine (still pretty loud tho) but mine just does the same noise from 2000 rpm to 7000rpm. Yours is like a resonating symphony. There are far more levels of audible appreciation with yours, depending what gear, rpm you are in. » He offered me to BUY my exhaust. Which I declined of course. True story gentlemen. Btw : compare fairly. The car on the left stayed in « comfort » the all time.
If you want a louder version of the stock exausth on the RS6,you pick the Akrapovic.If you want a brutal exausth that will wake up every soul in a radius of 50 meters when you are reving it,you pick the Milltek.
The reason why i like the Acrapovic better on those RS6:es are because it got so much bass! The Milltek is way to high pitched for me to sound good. - However for my own 2017 GTI Clubsport MK7 i would select NEITHER of those and instead go for the IPE Valvetronic Full System !!! Without any second thoughts... 👍 😎 👍
Akrapović is more muffled but it roars loud too! Milltek is more like fireworks and sharp! Really depends what kinda sound you’re going for. So far I love milltek’s sharpness.
