@@homestuck_official Does it? 'cause I listened to it, and as far as I know, it only has synths that sound sorta _similar_ (although, not really. It sounds more like synths used in games like Super Paper Mario) but not any of the actual kazoos used in, say The Yoshi Clan.
You know what, maybe the level themes aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. This is such a lovely, breezy flowery theme, really gives the feeling of bouncing in the sky! (Note: writer has not played New Island, but seen enough of it to get the idea)

Everyone keeps on complaining about the kazoos and rubber ducks, But I haven't heard a soundtrack that uses them before to this extent ever and it makes it really unique.
@@alexanderadams9058 Yeah a lot of the songs in this game are actually really fun to listen to and I enjoy many of them, but they dont beat the original Yoshi's Island's soundtrack
@@Lizuma Yeah. I think the hate of this ost is greatly exaggerated. It's not the worst and some songs are great and even amazing! But most of the time it's just remixes of the main theme and sometimes the kazoos come in and completely ruin a song. Overall the ost is just fine, but nothing can ever overtake the original's ost.
I can't describe how much I this song. It's so nostalgic, it reminds me of a relaxing countryside with windmills,or pink or lavender skies at a mourning cafe in Paras france, or beautiful autumn advertisements. This song is my happy place.
Alright, another really good one! To me, it sounds like it would fit just fine in World 3 of Yoshi's Woolly World. I dunno, it has kind of a fluffy, cotton-y vibe to it. I can't help but imagine Yoshi cookies when I hear it!
after reading the comments of most of this OST, my only take is: - the original Yoshi's Island: has 2 Overworld themes in the whole game (flower garden and above ground) = not repetitive at all! - Yoshi's new Island: has 1 Overworld theme with a ton of remixes = wow so repetitive and lazy, terrible ost dislike I'm not trying to criticize the original YI ost. I think it's far superior and also incredibly impressive, specially considering the hardware limitations, but can't we all agree that the main reason most people dislike YNI's ost is because the game itself was underwhelming? I get that the Kazoos are annoying and the instrumentation is not the best, but the "same motif" argument falls through when you consider the myriad of games with only 1 or 2 overworld themes (NSMB, SMB, SMB2, SMB3, YI, LOZ ...)
Sometimes I feel like this soundtrack is too focused on making songs for kids, or a dino theme first. I always felt like the SNES game just cared about making good tunes first.
AlexCopyPaste Pretty much. Each level has some variation of the main overworld theme. The exception is towers and castles; they have their own dedicated themes.
I like how the only good songs in this soundtrack are the ones without kazoos
Seriously. Just remove the kazoos in all the songs with kazoos or replace them with something else and BOOM you have a decent soundtrack
Nah, the main overworld one is actually pretty good even though it has kazzoos...granted, it uses them very sparingly
@@homestuck_official Does it? 'cause I listened to it, and as far as I know, it only has synths that sound sorta _similar_ (although, not really. It sounds more like synths used in games like Super Paper Mario) but not any of the actual kazoos used in, say The Yoshi Clan.
Do you just hate kazoos
I like kazoos, but HOLY SHIT some of the songs in this game suck! Hey, at least this one is perfect. :)
Oh my god I’ve been looking for this track for 2 years.

@@cloudmangalm03 yes, indeed
Now this one is plain underrated. It may just be the main theme, but it's so bouncy and happy
Peaceful Evening Walk - Yoshi's New Island
When i hear this i can see me laying on a hill and watching the sunset.
5/4 beats
This is probably the only music from this playlist without dislikes
So peaceful I love it!
this music is very serene and calm. looove it! should be used as lullaby for babies.
オシャレなカフェに流れてそう。
ボサノバ調で可愛い。
Agreed. Feels like I'm sitting beside a canal in a cafe, listening to a band play this :)
This is so relaxing I could fall asleep to this!
I love this song. Reminds me of 'The Great Pumpkin' by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.
Well, you beat me to that comment.
same here
That 5:4 . A Nintendo Dave Brubeck
Take Five Yoshi. :)
No kazoos = good music
WTF is a kazoo?
Behold! The power of interwebs!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazoo
Kitmin the world 6 version isn’t
Kitmin yup
What about Banjo Kazooie main theme?
I really like this one!
I grew up on this game, it was the first Nintendo game I’ve ever played, and I loved it. I love this franchise, long live Yoshi
well, i do agree with the last sentence
Everyone keeps on complaining about the kazoos and rubber ducks, But I haven't heard a soundtrack that uses them before to this extent ever and it makes it really unique.
Easily the best song in the OST
This, Bandit Valley and the underground theme are actually some of the few songs from this game I really enjoy and want to listen to again!
Two great songs in a row? This is kind of getting my hopes up for this ost....
Don't forget Rise of the Nasty Nep-Enuts and Hotfoot Hurdle.
@@Sr.Tweeter I do enjoy Rise of the Nasty Nep-enuts a lot, but not Hotfoot Hurdle as much even though it's one of the better ones

such a calm tune

cheerful
It sounds like Animal Crossing because Kazumi Totaka was the music director. It sounds like happy home designer
Anyone notice how the composer's name is Masa*yoshi* Ishi?
*insert Yoshi noise of your choosing*

Probably the best version of this motif
I remember why these sounded familiar to me, it wasn’t nostalgia, it sounds like the main theme from sonic 3D blast (Saturn)
That music reminds me on a beautiful day.
The remixes of the main theme are very nice, but I still would prefer completely new soundtracks.
I noticed this song is a lot like this: Kevin Rankin - Haven't We Met
it's Kenny Rankin,
the intro is very similar
And so Anguirus journeyed far just to get to a holiday resort.
The 5/4 here sounds so nice
I like this one too.
Idk why but this games music made me cry
Now this is all right.
I like the harmonica part and I usually HATE harmonicas in songs!

Looking past the main theme, the soundtrack in this game is kinda alright.
I love this soundtrack, other than the Title theme and The Yoshi Clan. :)
Take 5 by Dave Brubeck meets Yoshi's New Island
0:31 to 0:45
this reminds me of yoshis wooly world and kirbys epic yarn
You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone, anyways its getting late
anyone here from unusual memes? :D

5/4 time signature, I believe?

Almost a complete remake of Take Five. Nice one.

does this game only have this one melody? I feel like I am hearing it in every level.

Is there a piano sheet music that exists of this
What genre of music is this?
I love it...
As well as the outros for Steven Universe...
+LAZZY DAWG 17 Jazz is the closest genre I think.
Kind of a speedy Bossa Nova.
5/4 is a style as well as a time signature.
Jazz. The most similar tune I can think of is Take Five by Brubeck
or this one, by kenny rankin: ua-cam.com/video/tTUCGaSVA-0/v-deo.html
The song is better then yoshis clan
piano notes pls
is this not just take 5

Yeah. It used to be called "Evening Theme" but I soon renamed all the songs to the level in which they first appeared in.
Yoshi's VGM Frankly, "Evening Theme" is perfect for this.
