To begin with thanks to U Tube providing such celestial music.The great Ustad Ameerkhan rendered popular South Indian raga Hansadhwani purely in North Indian style. Wonderful combination of Tabla and Harmonium. Unforgettable Creation of Great Ustad Ameerkhansahab.
It is indeed a great performance. However the adaptation of hansadhwani from carnatic to hindustani is credited to Ustad Aman Ali Khan saheb of Bhendibazaar gharana.

It is an exquisite masterpiece by Ustad Amir Khan. The _arohana_ and _avarohana_ in the pentatonic scale have the inner power to activate the energy centre of _Muladhara chakra_. This _cry of the swan_ epitomizes not only innocence of mind, but wisdom as well. Thanks are accorded to the organizing team for uploading this mellifluous rag.
Ustad Amir Khan is undoubtedly my all time favourite and this particular raga with the tarana has always made me kind of crazy as Vinod knows very well. Great post!!!

Unusual laya of Ektaal. (It is not vilambit. It is not drut or madhya laya). Excellent quality harmonium for classical accompaniment. Very good tabla and harmonium accompaniment too. Needless to say 'superb singing'. Amir Khan name says it all.
Older Vilambit before the modern Ati-Vilambit era of khyal (for which Amir Khansahab is himself responsible to some extent) was this pace. You can get an idea of it by listening to people like Yashwantbua Joshi, you'll often hear a "vilambit" Tilwada or something about this pace.

तबला बिलकुल अच्छा नहीं लगा। किशन महाराज होने चाहीये ठे इधर। उनके तबले की लय जिस तरह से घुलमिलसी जाती थी मुख्य गायक/वादक के वादन की लय में वह कमाल की बात है। आज तक इतकी अच्छा लय का मिलाप मैने नहीं सुना। किशन महाराज, माणिकराव पोपटकर, नाना मुळे, करामतुल्लाह खाँसाहेब बेहतरीन तबला प्लेयर थे
I am having fun playing tabla with this :) Even if we can't play with the great masters in person, we can still play with their recordings with joy.
the slower the taal gets, the more fun it is! for singers & tabaliyas, vilambit is the most fulfilling
