This song actually scares me. If you listen to the lyrics, it kind of perfectly describes many of the sick HS students who decided to bring a gun to school and shoot the place up. Psychologists should study this song.
nah, this song talks about being old and still acting like a teenager, maybe you are talking about "having a blast", that one is about school t*rrorism and the same time about love or something
Aw, the good old days. Brings back so many memories. I miss Billie Joe's accent when he sings.
His voice just matured a bit, happened to most singers around their early 30s or late 20s (at least from what I've noticed)
@@kaizerkeller or it seems they seem to learn to how to actually sing which removes a lot of rawness and their original characteristic.
Ah yes, Green Day at Woodstock, their home. A perfect match. But in all seriousness, they were high as fuck
speed man
St. Jimmy Tru
Love your pfp man
they weren't as high as Jaded in Chicago 1994 tho
I use to sing this song when everything goes wrong.

‘Fuck growin up, I’m just burnin down & im on my way to see the Grateful Dead’
Lol
im not growin up im just burning out
i'm burnin out like tre cool!
I declare I don't care no more
I'm burning up and out and growing bored
In my smoked out boring room
My hair is shagging in my eyes
Dragging my feet to hit the street tonight
To drive along these shit town lights
I'm not growing up
I'm just burning out
And I stepped in line
To walk amongst the dead
Apathy has rained on me
Now I'm feeling like a soggy dream
So close to drowning but I don't mind
I'll live inside this mental cave
Throw my emotions in the grave
Hell, who needs them anyway
I'm not growing up
I'm just burning out
And I stepped in line
To walk amongst the dead
I'm not growing up
I'm just burning out
And I stepped in line
To walk amongst the dead
Dead
I'm not growing up
I'm just burning out
And I stepped in line
To walk amongst the dead
I'm not growing up
I'm just burning out
And I stepped in line
To walk amongst the dead
Dead

This song is to me more of a representation of young adults who struggle with transitioning into adulthood
