    There are some issues I'm having with some of those details, which will most likely deter me from buying a Legion Go unit...
    Let's talk about it...

    This video released after the official info released -- make sure not to use incorrect info from the leaks, such as the $800 price-point. The device is $700 for the z1 extreme and 512GB, $750 for 1TB. This is such a great value compared to the ally.

    Don't agree on the part that Asus ROG has better quality than Legion no way. I've used ton of ROG products and never had a machine without any flaws. Legion Y700 2nd gen which I recently bought and Legion 7 laptop that I still use kicks ass. I own most of the UMPCs including the ROG Ally and it's a nice machine interms of performance, sound and fan noise but the design and QC is pure junk, along with the ugly bezels and not acceptable grips. I also had to throw away my 1tb Micro SD since it broke and it really pissed me off. I often use the AOKZOE with egpu (Aorus Gaming Box 3090 - Time SPY Graphics 18k) via usb4 directly connected and this is very useful in which the Ally cannot or just use as dock mode only with crazy loud and expensive XG mobile. And most of all, screen size matters! Its like one of the most important factors. it makes the experience so much better. I use the Logitech G cloud which weighs around 450g but still manage to also use the 730g AOKZOE with much better grip than any other UMPC. It seems that Legion Go has a nice stand, best screen and detachable controllers and still manages to keep the price right along the ROG ally. The Stream Deck is cheaper but has shitty screen, crazy loud fan noise, just one USB C slot, tiny screen compared to the massive body size, low performance and so on. The Legion Go seems to be a game changer to me at least. I'm getting one for sure right after I'm able to get my hand on it.

    Don't normally comment on content creator's videos when I'm not subscribed but wanted to address 2 things you mentioned.
    An OLED screen would actually use more power than an LED when the primary use for the screen itself would be for gaming. I believed Valve dev's mentioned they were giving a Q&A with IGN on equivalent wouldn't be cost effective pushing even 1080p, 120Hz. Unless you are using a 60Hz 1080P OLED without any HDR function, I see why they went LED. Don't get me wrong, I'd still go for an OLED 800P, 60Hz screen over the one included in the GO even with its 2015 level tech.
    While memory usually is not important in regard to overall performance on the CPU, the 780m will definitely make a difference when considering bottleneck issues that's created by DDR5 memory. Not a high margin.... but a 7-10% bump in FPS-lows isn't going to set the Go apart from its competitors but at the same price, every advantage helps.

    I have an Asus Rog ally that despite its bugs I've been enjoying. I also Pre-ordered the Legion . It should be arriving sometime between 10/31 and 11/1. I'm a console player now getting into PC gaming. I like having everything on one device all my pc games, ps remote play, ps cloud play, Xbox game pass. It's pretty awesome not owning an xbox and being able to play their exclusives. I don't own a gaming rig. I feel the Legion go has enough going for it that even Asus Rog Ally users can find there is a place to have both devices in their arsenal. I don't own a steam deck. Some people have a deck and ally. I know the weight is a concern, but you can play the Go docked with the detachable controllers or just sit it on a desk also. With the Legion, you don't really even need a dock since it has a kickstand, 2 usb c ports, and detachable controllers. I'm cool with having the choice to jump on my Ally or Legion Go. One I will probably leave docked. I have access to 4 TB of storage on my Ally docked. I'll probably use it for Steam Link or when I don't think it's convenient to play on the Go because of size. IMO Lenovo seems more reputable than Asus as a company. Asus hasn't really done anything to fix the sd card reader issue...

    @JeererDaClown 10 місяців тому

    Pretty bad take on the whole price issue you bring up... The reason the Steam Deck is so cheap is because Steam is purposely taking a lost to make it back, and then some, with their software sales. Generally these handhelds go for over $1k, at least the ones with more power. Steam Deck is the reason why the Legion Go and ROG Ally are so competitive in price. Aside from this you talk about being a fan of Alienware who are notorious for being overpriced for what you're getting compared to anything with similar specs. You are buying a brand. So when you look at these handhelds you need to look BEYOND the brand and focus on the specs and capabilities. That's not to say to completely ignore the brand either as the brands track record, customer feedback, return policy, etc should always be considered, just don't be a fanboy. You then go to say about how Lenovo makes budget devices but your earlier concern was price... You contradict yourself.

    HI Chris,
    Nice video. I think the same. The Lenovo Legion Go looks like a Steam Deck but it is bigger and heavy. I like the idea of the controller but it is not more powerfull than Rog Ally. I can justify the bigger console when it is more powerfull but it is not the case. The only good thing is the 1TB of SSD inside. It can be usefull, because you don't need to upgrade it. Also me i prefer the pc smaller, because i use like pc replacement, it is quite good to use it with photoshop, naturally linked to extternal monitor and mouse and keyboard. It is perfect i love it, because i travel for work and i already have my laptop with me and to carry with me the ally is helpfull because i can play games and use it for netflix as well. I have my Anker 140watt powerbank the battery last enough long when i travel or go around. I think the rog ally it is the perfect solution and you can also use it with XG Mobile if you want. but it is very expensive i think it is better buy a desktop with that money and to use it when you are at home. I enjoi a lot these new portable pc and i think i will buy also a second version in the future if it comes out.
