I had to book a hotel and pay for several hundred dollars in Lyft rides (despite living in Denver) and was so glad I did! Thanks for all your amazing comedy! I had a client who lived in a nursing home. She put her hearing aid battery between her teeth and then lost it. She was convinced she had swallowed it. She was unable to get out of bed. Emergency room, CT scan, battery appears on the scan and seems to be in her stomach. Prepping her for SURGERY, the team rolled her onto her side, and there's the battery ON THE BED!! Follow-up CT showed NO BATTERY. It seems that the battery had aligned well enough with her stomach to convince EVERYONE that she'd ingested the battery and needed it removed 😂😂😂.
Well I woke up with one in my mouth after falling asleep to an audio book before... So I can not tell you how exactly it ended up there, only that it did and I am a functioning adult with a job and all 😅
My aunt was is such a hurry to get to work, she put pills in her hand which was also holding her earrings. Yep, she did that. Had to be scoped out and lost her voice for awhile. She needed to slow her flow!!

Ok I had to look it up - apparently she goes running and puts her vitamins in her pocket and half way through her run she takes them, like that’s her regular habit I guess… but on this day she saw a friend on her run and stopped to talk so took out 1 AirPod and put it in her pocket. When done talking to the friend she then “took her vitamins” from her pocket and swallowed them, then went to put the air pod back in her ear but when she reached in her pocket for it she pulled out the vitamins she thought she’d already taken - so what she swallowed before, thinking it was her vitamins was actually the air pod. However… I feel like this if fake because who takes their vitamins mid-run? I have to take vitamins with a meal or I get super nauseous, I would definitely feel sick if I took them in the middle of exercise with only water… Also why wouldn’t she have them in a baggie? Like she doesn’t mind if they’re sweaty and covered in pocket lint? And an air pod is a lot bigger and different shape than vitamins… pretty sure it’s a made up story.

I got back from a trip to Mexico once with horrible eye pain. Was terrified I picked up some kind of nasty infection and I was going to lose my vision. Turns out I had forgotten I had contacts on my eyes… for about 6 weeks. Totally forgot I wore them one night and never took them out. My eyes were dry and irritated, not infected. Cost me $250 and a hospital ER that I can never return to! Lol
You're supposed to be putting it in your ear or the charging case. Why is that complicated? I mean why complicate it more by adding a third location? They're supposed to be waterproof but still stomach acid might be deemed accidental damage but at least eventually you could turn it in and see that's accidental damage and claim on some insurance policy if you don't mind possibly taking a hit. Read TOS and ask if there'll be any future penalties for claiming.

I thought I'd swallowed my iPhone, one morning. Turns-out, it had slipped down the bed & I'd just rolled about on it all night. The screen was badly compressed & cracked; the case had a definite bend. Thank God!..
