Fauna got the level where damage boosting and going fast is arguably the most important feature. Even though she ran it blind, she ran it like everyone else did when it popped up again later in the tourney.
I can understand why Miko and Luna went for fire flower at the beginning - babies thinking that it will give them upper hand, but Ina probably went with a group thinking.
Hearing her talk about how during training she was better off ignoring the power up in the beginning to save time, and then seeing her do just that in practice felt amazing. Also love that she used her damage s to her advantage to phase through the wall of enemies.
Ina's and mikochi's (Luna with the baby background noise support, I can't understand her at all though) idle chatter as they're playing is so entertaining. Fauna just silently cleaned up.
Fauna knows what it takes to be a speedrunner. Damage-boosting through certain challenges was (and can still be) a legitimate strategy for making it to the end of the stages (especially for SMB3).
