    That paper looked great at so many points! But the final result looked like it took hours to create! i LOVE it! There are so many things I use for texture. Fruit mesh, tulle, caps orlids, strap from an old sandal that was disintegrating, belt, bubble wrap, credit cards, cardboard, and even bottles with texture on them. I LOVE how this page looked like old canvas that was painted over and over then worn down over the years!! Thanks so much for sharing everything you do!!

    Love the backgrounds, Stacy! Thanks for the awesome texture ideas! It definitely helps to create our own tools without spending tons of money. I have a block of floral foam that i think i just might try making a stamp out of. :)

    totally digging that burlap block. I've got a bunch of burlap, I'll try that with my gelli plate. Most of my texture things is stuff I"ve gotten from the Dollar Tree. Different place mats or sink grates and cool glass platters, the bottoms can be sooo cool. And a lot of the kids toys have some awesome surfaces. I also did a bunch of watercolor paper and stenciled over with embossing paste and that made some great texture "plates". And of course I am sure you already use the produce and fruit mesh bags. They are cool too. I think my utmost fav. for texture is the non skid mats you use under carpets. I have different size holes, some are meant as jar lid helpers and then some for large floor carpets give you a nice big opening. Love those textures. And of course bubble wrap, my favorite is the super duper large bubbles because they give such a cool crackle look when you smush them down. Cellulose sponge is really cool, as is the dish scrubber balls, like nylon or wire mesh, different ones. WOW, that black paper turned out amazing, before the grunge that is. For me anyway, like the final total look but loved it without the grunge colors just as well. Coarse sand paper would be great on the wooden block too. Sorry this comment is so long but I started comments at the beginning and never sent. lol

    I kept having the same issue with my craft mat every time I went to clean it off! I decided to try tacking it down with a bit of my "least" favorite washi tape....just alittle on each corner! That did the trick...now it does fly all over the place when I'm trying to wipe it off!! :)

  • @douleyyates2842
    @douleyyates2842 6 років тому +2

    You use a lot of baby wipes, you should get the walmart brand equate, you get 240 in a refill pack for about $5.00 I use a lot of baby wipes. Pop some in your container that you already have.

    What kind of glue did you use to make the burlap block?

  • @barbarakuhn3239
    @barbarakuhn3239 2 роки тому

    So you don't have to struggle with your silicone mat you can go to the dollar store and get a shelf liner cut it a small piece of it in a square to fit under it and it will not move around while you're wiping it off Thought I'd let you know seeing how I struggled with that myself and they work fabulous

    With this being do dark, what are you going to do with this? Are you using the cheap craft $1.00 paints? TY

    • @PinkPoodleCrafts
      @PinkPoodleCrafts  7 років тому

      its not too dark... i used it as a cover for a journal and for journal pages. And yes, I use cheap paints :) Thanks for watching.

    • @CarolReidCA
      @CarolReidCA 5 років тому +1

      Use whatever paints you have. Walmart sometimes has Apple Barrel paints for around 50-75 cents. For mixed media cards, practice, whatever, they are fine! Also, Joann's & Michael's have sets that come out to about the same. Plaid & ArtDeco have sales sometimes too! I got some 16 ounce furniture acrylic paints for about $3.50 on a clearance sale. They are more like fluid acrylics, but come in handy when you need or want that. They are great for paint pours!

      Hot glue works. You can remove it later too & replace it if it gets too mucky!
