The dc-9 had a form of turbojet similar to the turbofan but it didnt have a large fan like the standard airliner does. It was a compact unit. I used to work around them for a while, the engines to me sounded more jet like then turbofan which sounded like grinding steel and wobbly bearings. In my mind it was the perfect plane because it was a work horse and was reasonably effective but not as efficient as a true turbofan can be.
The dc9 will. forever live through the bussiness jets & the other T tail jets like the crj -200 & the embraces-145.if you think the T tail jet are dying your sorely mistaken.
I so miss the DC9s so much and the MD88s and 90s 😢😢😢😢😢 aviation just isn't the same anymore
Glad he put SEAN in the description. I would have never guessed that
Thanks soooo much man for filming me! I really appreciate it!
They are getting best of both world, film and education careers, ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
at least someone got it.
@NWA1503 Great!!! :D
Dc9 is a fast plane thanks to those jet engines it wasn't the most efficient plane but beats the pants off those turbofans.
The dc-9 did have turbofans
