I wanted to add to check the seller. Like buying anything used. Are the shady? Do they have a goggle tan? Is their windowless van full of skis? All warning signs! Question for you: Would you buy a demo board from a ski town rental shop? There are a few I trust and a few I really don't!
When I was a kid I had a buddy drop his board on a black (He sucked and had taken it off on the traverse through the bowl). It was icy af and the thing shot like a rocket and sniped a skier lmao. Would a leash have helped? Absolutely not, he was carrying it, but to this day I've got ski "friends" who still say a leash would have stopped it sliding. Who's going to wear a 4 foot leash?
What is a bad sticker job like. Cuz i bought a board that is covered in stickers but theyre not overlapping and they are nice and pretty much in te same direction discliding a couple
If you meet the guy selling and he's waaay to heavy for the board - walk away. If they stored it somewhere like the loft/attic - walk away. Chances are it was COOKED up there year after year.
If I bought a 156, but I should have bought a 151ish, can I progress w it? I can ride it, and I'm within the chart weight range. (Blue +) I'm short 5 6
Do you go and look at a used car and buy it when you open the door and realize that the A pillar is rusted through? If you do, man I have some vehicles for you.
also don't buy your friends board from last year who rips it in the park every day if your gonna give a shit about it. I did this and me and my friends did a repeat of your how not to with it. it was some soft nitro jib board.
"People who go 3 times, break their wrist and quit, we call those people pathetic." Killed me. Good vid.
FuNkFaRmEr I broke my wrist learning snowboarding, still sending it! 🤙
Other honourable mention: check that the base hasn't been ground so much you can actually start distinguishing the fiberglass pattern underneath.
In all fairness, some base colors on new decks can show through to the core. Usually lighter colors like white.
Very informative. Now I know what to do when I need to sell my crappy board next year. Thanks.
Checking the inserts is a great idea
Also check if the board has not decambered (flattened its profile), especially with the epoxy-laden ones like Mervin
My bored is at least 20 years old it’s a 168 cypress division 23. Bought it as my first board off some guy on marketplace think was never used

Depends on the shop honestly.
omg, this dude is hilarious, I need moar of him in my feed!
Can we get a top five accidents that could’ve been avoided with a safety strap? I’ve always wondered what the hell they would prevent.
Thats the joke.
Leashes are for dogs and unstable children.

In the UK, three seasons mean three 5-day trips to France!

Nice, some good tips there. I certainly learned a thing or two :)
Snow sharks got me good hahaha

Yes? No? I don't know? Vague ass question here.
What about trying to see if the board is stolen
Go ahead, let me know how that works out.
Angry Snowboarder well it can’t hurt to try. Unless it can
Check TheGoodRide if the board is any good in the first place.
Check the Good Ride if you want to see what ass clowns look like.
Can't believe you put that comment in here. LoL
Bro, you expect me to go look at someones used board, start trying to bend it in half, then tell them no thanks when it starts cracking? lol

@@AngrySnowboarder well you make a good point, it just seems like if anything happens during the bend they would try to blame you
@@stevelawrence3595 so grow a pair of balls and tell them it’s a pile of suck Jesus it’s not that hard.
You deserve a subscribe 😘
How can I tell what size the board is without being misled? Does ‘46’ mean 146cm? Thanks in advance!
Yes.
@@AngrySnowboarder this helps thank you so much!!
How to check if it has lost flex and pop?
Lay it flat and see if there’s any camber left
@@AngrySnowboarder and if the board is a warpig with flat profile?!

Fckin snow sharks mayne 😂
Top sheet for sure. I bought a barely used board with a chip and it was the deadest board I’ve ever rode. The pop was non existent
Those stupid snow sharks
First? Maybe?
Does it matter?
@@AngrySnowboarder Not really. Sh*ts and google
