Just had mine flying today in 25-30 kts with gust up to 40kts and she obviously flopped around in the wind a little but the video was pretty solid. This will handle more wind than most would think. After today my confidence in this drone increased a whole bunch. Super easy and smooth to fly don’t hesitate to buy this just Because of the size
I'm considering buying the Mini 4 Pro, it will be my first drone ever. Your review was awesome and nailed the real strengths of this compact overachieving drone. I was always a fan of the mini lineups but the other models just didn't have what I needed. As a beginner, obstacle avoidance was a core feature I wanted and to finally have full 360 degree sensors, this is the first time the mini line has ticked all the boxes for me. As I am in Canada, the 249g is a must for me because I don't want to have to get a drone pilot license, I just wanna take it out and capture some amazing footage and pictures within legal operation. I think I've waited long enough and they have finally reached the point where they meet and exceed all my expectations.
I'm still trying to figure out why people keep talking about this not being a PROFESSIONAL drone because of its size. What does the size of the drone has to do with its capabilities?
It basically comes down to the camera and stability, when it comes to professional work you need a camera that can do it all and be controlled by multiple people, like the inspire. I have the mini 4 pro and use it for real estate work and free lance stuff, but if a company every approached me and wanted say a basic commercial with a big budget, the mini would not cut it. You need full D-Log control, higher fps, higher bitrate, bigger sensor, etc. Drone stability and speed are a big factor to, it needs to be able to keep up and be stable in high winds.
@@mccullummediaOne key feature you crucially left out was aperture control. Having access to that setting alone gives you a ton of freedom in the lighting of the image.
@@ohHeyKev Yes you are correct, I totally forgot about that. I was able to get professional quality images and videos without that setting, but yes it does help a lot and is important.
Love this video and the energy you bring to the table for this product! For people that are looking to buy or have already purchased and just looking for reassurance, this is the video for you! Lots of great information for beginners and even those that have owned a drone before. I also agree when it comes to DJI you aren't just paying for the brand name, like Nike. DJI is one brand that never ceases to amaze me. They go above and beyond with their product control, quality control, and combo kits. Yes the price of these drones are high but I have never felt I wasn't getting my moneys worth when it comes to any DJI Drone. I started with the mini 4k and have waited for a product like this one here. Mine will be here tomorrow!
04, Waypoints - which tou can set ginmbal angle, heading and zoom to manual, simulating dual operator mode and change heading during mission, better position accuracy x3 - outside of heavy winds its superb. Oh, and the Backward/Upward sensors allow it to find its way out from under a canopy or obstruction to fly home.
I have one…just bought it a month ago. I’ve only had one afternoon flying with it because the weather hasn’t been working out. I will say that the one afternoon that I flew it, I was incredibly impressed. It was so easy to fly it was ridiculous! Also the footage was drop dead beautiful. This is a tremendous drone. I also bought the DJI Avata 2 package with goggles and motion controller. I haven’t flown with any of that kit yet but look forward to it. I know it will be a lot of fun as well. Peace!
Your describing Spotlight @9:00 - just to nitpick. I agree Spotlight mode is superb- we have it on all 3 caneras on Mavic 3 Pro, and paralax on a subject miles away on the 166mm equivalent 7x is otherworldly!
0:24 Please see the scene between 0:24 - 0:27 and please look at the bottom of the screen. What is this intermittent jumping called, and how to avoid this? I can understand low fps in high resolution but this looks like a jerky movement and it’s not constant. Does it happen because of drone, or is it settings, editing or uploading?
I was wondering this exactly too!! I’m glad I’m not crazy. I usually see this with smaller sensor drones and was hoping the mini 4 pro wouldn’t have had it 😔
Serious question. I do a ton of traveling and have bought a drone to capture some more videos of the landscape. How do i know if i can record or not? Or where are considered no fly zones?

I got the Plus batteries, so it was 270g. That meant I had to get the Remote ID (from Holystone because it was cheap), so I also added a landing leg harness to mount RID under, night strobes(red, green, and white), and a gopro mount. Kitted out it's about 400g, I still get 35 minutes flight time AND I no longer have "wind issues" up to 15 mph with 20 mpg gusts. For me that was counter intuitive, I expected the added weight to worsen the flight characteristics. The only thing I can figure is torque is much higher than needed and added weight means wind effects it less.

@@ChuckD05 I've tried recalibrating the compass, the IMU and the RC sticks and still it drifts. DJI support have confirmed this is an issue with this drone and it doesn't sound like they intend to fix it with software updates 😥
Must be a problem with your unit. Mine is fine.
This drone is pure JUNK do not buy. I have had 2 defective drones in 3 days. Screen freezes in flight arms get lose after a week of use. Pure JUNK. Stay away.
Many people would disagree. I certainly do. Sorry to hear of your bad luck.
