This is a hybrid laptop for content creators, not gamers. They were probably doing some cost cutting. Besides playing games on a 14 incher isn't much of a thing anyway. And the heat dissipation will be average at best. So it's just a matter of giving a decent dedicated graphics package rather than top of the line
