how do ypu know it engages a lot of muscle?
      you are probably sore.
well everyone is sore if they do something that they have never done before.
the proported benefits like mobilityc flexibility all of the se come in areas where you never have yo use in daily life. sure you can walk like a chimpanzee but you dont walk like that daily do you?
and strength? naah no way it improves strength. again you are just learning a new movement pattern and gettjng better at it.
doing these wont ensure that you would lift a heavy battery or items at your house.
doing thse wont ensure you will be able to climb 6 stairs due to all that "flexibility" and "strength"

I’m 65, I started doing some of the animal movements about a month or 2 ago, I had been doing pilates for the last few months and needed a little something else for stretching, those hoard tor each areas. It’s a cardio and functional strength training rolled into 1 exercise session. While, it may be difficult to begin with for seniors to get down and move about, but the improvement curve is really high, and you’ll feel more confident with your balance and strength.

As a baby and toddler you have different leverages, a different flexibility and the proportions and weight distribution is awfully different, babies and toddlers are mostly head and belly, with short arms and legs. They move different because their mechanics are different, even walking with their proportions is hugely difficult, they have to extort a lot of effort to walk with their low centers of gravity, small strides and weight distribution, adults think is effortless to walk because their leverages help tremendously for the mechanics of the displacement and also the amount of time doing it. Babies have such heavy heads and tiny necks I'm surprised they can even walk sometimes, imagine carrying a head that is a quarter of your own height and having small baby muscles to actually pull that move, lol. As an adult you basically lean yourself a little and catch your own weight while walking babies actually have to push and have their head inside small balance region, because if they don't they can't beat the inertia of the weight of their own head.

The perfect example of high mobility training to create a better physic , probably the best physic is like ballet ( male and female ) who also do expressive dancing . I got a friend who went to London school of ballet and others use to say “ it’s a girl thing “ , yeah then when he takes his jacket off and he’s ripped up to the max , can pick up a girl without looking likes it’s a huge effort and has stamina that out does anyone else . Girls also like guys who dance and being around females a lot my mate is very much in tune with females , always catching the eye of the cream of the top looking girls in a club .
