We travelled in this toy train from Shimla to Kalka in a first class cabin which cost us about 475 Indian Rupees per person.
This train journey includes 102 tunnels and 864 bridges, making it a world heritage.
The train journey from kalka to shimla is full of beautiful views of mountains and hill stations along the way.
The total duration of this train journey from Shimla to Kalka is 5 hours 20 minutes, which started from Shimla Railway Station at 10:55 AM and ended at Kalka Railway Station at 4:35 PM.
This Train Journey is by far one of my best train journey and small stations and views throughout the journey made it a lot special.

Is ticket available offline at ticket counter ....?

As it is the peak time , tickets might not be available on the offline ticket counter .
If you want to book first class or chair car, then you have to book online but if you want to take a general ticket then you can get it from the counter but I would not recommend general ticket as it is really congested and you might have to travel standing throughout the whole journey .

I have booked my train ticket to shimla by train no 12011 Delhi - Kalka Shtabdi arrives at Kalka at 11.40 ; the train 52455 Himalayan Queen to shimla is 11.55 hrs, what if 12011 gets late . Whether the 52455 waits for 12011 passengers. Any answer pl.

52455 may not wait because all the trains are scheduled as there is only a single track from kalka to Shimla;
So waiting for the other train to arrive from delhi may not going to happen
