I was in this for 7 yrs from 1963 to 1970. I did not see any changes at that time. There rickshaws pullers between Chalvilli to Picture Place. There were not many 2 wheel motor byes & few cars or jeeps. There were cycles & few youth ride down to Dehradun to see pictures & bring back on roof top of buses. Most of the schools, government offices, big hotels and some business houses had telephone lines. Phones were more or less no use for common people. It was beautiful place for locals specially for tourists. During winter schools, hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops were closed down and only local lived. You can today’s Mussoorie for general information.
