2nd Question: is there any reason not to use zipties to secure the edges in place of the j clips? I don't have the j clip pliers and am thinking there isn't much pressure against the trap from crayfish or anything you would catch.
OK I plan to build a hog trap also which requires a set of hog ring pliers; will these pliers work both for hog fence and small wire fence like for crawdads or will I need to buy j clip pliers too?
