I worked for a pool company in the late 70s, early 80s while attending college in NC and this was the construction method. Vermiculite or usually sand was used for the pool floor. Honestly, this concrete seems to crack reasonably easily. If that's true, an electric breaker might actually have been harder on the back than hand tools.
@@Ragnar8504 My trade were in metall before I got early retirement and I only have limited experience with concrete, but as far as tools and machinery goes I have used quite a lot of them. If you are a novice/beginner with the tool in hand, allmost all things are hard! ;o) So I´ll take your word for the concrete work done, the state of the concrete and your conclusion! :o)
Just beautiful. Who'd have left water in the pool under a new deck !!!
Neighbor got tired of replacing the pool cover on his unused pool. Raccoons kept shredding them. He decided to fill it in. Was told he's need only one load of dirt (which he seriously doubted would be adequate) but he ended up needing 4 full loads of fill dirt to fill it up. Seemed kinda extreme to do that because of pesky raccoons. He said one of the marauders was enormous--watched it make mincemeat out of his pool cover. Me--I'd set up a camera so I can watch them do their raccooning. And buy cheaper pool covers for them to play with.
Holy crap you guys are unbelievable! I am in awe of the amount of work you put in and the transformation. I’m sure you are enjoying it now. It looks beautiful.
I would never feel comfortable walking on a deck sitting over an 8 foot deep hole.
Wow! More proud of your skills and ability’s than the pool itself!!!
I would like to see a detailed video on how you get all the wrinkles out of the liner when it's installed.
I've always been curious about these liners. Looks like they used a type of vacuum to get all the air bubbles out.
Put the guy in the green shirt to roll and slide all over it. He was having a lot of fun.
Молодцы! Самые главные строители,два пса!👍👍👍😄😄😄😄💯💯💯
This is like a really brutal detention! Well done! 👏 Thank goodness no one ever fell through the decking.... and also that no malicious supernatural entities lived under it. 😁
This is America at its finest great restore! Enjoy!
The couple are from Canada.
Holla at Sabrina and Andrew for da poo work!!
Our pool was closed for 20 yrs too & I’ll say it was a lot of work to restore it but nothing like this! And after $10K of improvements it’s been the center of our backyard social life, so yeah it was worth every penny.
But imagine if the wood gave in when you stood on it and you fell into a pool of grudge :(
I just stumbled across this sipping my morning coffee, oddly the most satisfying 8 mins ever lol, nice job on the pool!!
Got to give this couple credit their definitely not lazy wow a lot of work but it will be worth it
Wow, it looks beautiful, well done. All that work done paid off. I'm sure you saved a lot of money doing it yourself, kudos to both of you.
The blue of the original poolside with this stains from the rust actually look quite artistic. It would be a pretty painting
Fantastic job!! Thank you for sharing!! What a “Can Do” attitude!!
You two are hard workers you spent the money to fix that pool you deserve that beautiful pool... great work, just great work
Solid job, hard yards for non tradies, many upsides, well done.
Well that was worked for. Impressed I am, incredible that you made everything look so easy.
A good final show tould be them standing on the deck and then them falling into the pool. Great work!
Holy shit . That’s a ton of work this guy and his wife did . Admire their persistence and stamina
Complete renovation 👍🏻👍🏻 it looks fab .
All your hard work paid off it's beautiful.
What a HUGE job! Fantastic!
Great job! I like the deck over rather than filling it up with dirt like ppl in Fl do if they can’t afford the fix…enjoy the pool!
The end when then jump in together! Priceless😢💕💪🏼🌿Well done guys beautiful!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful pool. You guys are impressive! ❤ 👏🏽👏🏽
Great job must have spent a pretty penny. Now you have a beautiful pool for a fraction of what it would have cost to install it. I love y'all did it yourself.
My hat off to you,I couldn't do it. Respect!! And what a beautiful result!
The satisfaction of hard work and a job well done. Kudos to you both!
I’ve done so many thousands of re-liners. Good job!
