Thanks for this! Saw like 30 blu ray players at local thrift store, return policy is decent gonna pick em up test them and sell them :D you rock man.
I put a piece of bubble wrap between the player and cords to protect from any needless scratching of the unit before the saran wrap. Just sharing. Wish I could purchase plug-in prong protectors in bulk for added protection. Can't locate them anywhere. Great vlog, thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Whats your return policy on electronics?
Please reply me, How much VCR? I buy this vcr
Thank you SOOO much! This is exactly what I needed! I appreciate you taking the time to show it step by step -- you made it easy to see the whole process. Great job!
the bubble wrap at staples, walmart etc costs more than the unit ...
Found two DVD/VCR combo units complete in-box today for $15 a piece. Looking at $250-300 each!! Thanks for this vid. Will need to test them, although they look practically new.
Iffy ?
Awesome vid! I've always wanted to know how to ship electronics off to FBA
Great timing! I wanted to find out how to do this as my newness is wearing off and I am getting into bigger, more expensive items. I hit my first estate sale last weekend - it was a makeshift one, the guy's brother died and he came in from out-of-state and just wanted everything gone so he didn't have to move it. Got two Sony 5-disc CD players, seven Sony cameras, two DVD players and three VCR's. (the guy loved Sony products). And three Bose speakers and a ton of little items. He wanted $40 total for everything. But, unsure how to pack them after one sells on eBay (Sony is gated for me on FBA). Your video was great and couldn't have come at a better time for me! Thanks a million brother!
Thanks for this vid!
these new transitions are a nice touch man
Isaac Smith thanks dude! always trying something new
Could anyone clarify what to do if I purchased a DvD player at good will and it didn't have its original UPC barcode. Will my amazon barcode that I generate be all I need in terms of barcodes to sell used electronics? Thank you so much
As long as you find the correct listing on Amazon. When you are ready to ship yours into amazon under that listing, they will provide you with an FNSKU barcode that you will stick on the bubblewrap/box that the dvd player is in.
Nice man great video!
Thank you for making this video, very informative!!! :)
Hey man Great Content Enjoy watching your videos
If the CD changer I'm sending in has scratches on the top would you list it as Good or Acceptable?
FYI - power cords come in different Amps and you need to match the strength requirements of your unit. Although your customers will more than likely not damage their units right away it can happen over time. They more than likely won't know the cable you sent was the cause so they won't come back on you about it, it does open you up for possible issues. Allot of people are not aware of power cable related issues.
I think you ment power supplies (the square/rectangular plastic box usually with the cord attached.
Ima send some to Amazon fba first time I hope the remote is not required.
How many units do you source don't work? In the past couple months I've bought 30 vcrs, receivers ect. 7 out of the 30 were did not work. I was able to fix 2 of them But the rest were beyond my skill level.
That sounds about right. Probably 2-3 out of every 10 dont work.
I've never included an hdmi cable and never had a complaint.
Good point!
If you're doing FBA I'd include it. These have a higher return rate than other items and you don't want to give them a reason to return it. Plus a lot of listings require you to have all the necessary components.
EatingFoodIsFun why would you include something that isn't originally included in the package? might as well throw in some free dvds while you're at. there's a reason they sell hdmi cords separately and that is because the quality varies greatly. You can buy one from the dollar store, but the quality would be crap and it will show on the screen. I would actually argue that including poor quality hdmi cables might increase your return rates because some people might think there's something wrong with the unit if the picture is off.
u rarely get 1 with a brand new purchase.
I wish people were talking about planned obsolescence in vcrs and remotes- often caused by dvd's.
Great video unfortunately they come up restricted for me
Wait how is the shipping so cheap. Was the warehouse super close to you?
How much does it cost to ship a VCR on average? rough estimate?
I just sent in my first few with no remotes , if I do find more big cd changers etc I’d have to charge a good bit more for the unit with remotes, a lot of sellers don’t have remotes.
This is the first time I have ever seen someone use feet as a tape holder. Ha,ha,ha.
Ugh. I'm dealing with a $169 dvd vhs recorder return. I just got notification tonight. I tested the basic functions and it all seemed to be working fine. Reselling can be a real drag sometimes.
with my combos I have been taking off the tops and cleaning the heads . I pick them up cheap and some you can get for nothing because people don't know to clean the heads .
You try seeing Fedex pricing? Almost all of my shipments have been way cheaper than UPS, but they have been pretty heavy boxes.
And amazing only takes 16x16x16? Where can I get boxes in bulk and what if I have a long item that won’t fit in those boxes I want for fba?
Amazon has so many restrictions and ever-changing rules that I refuse to do visit the website. This idea might not work with Amazon but when I shop packages I use empty plastic bottles for cushion and to fill voids - and it is free. Empty 2 litre bottles plus various smaller bottles (all with lids of course), work well and add little to no noticeable weight. I often ship somewhat fragile items, for me plastic bottles provide great protection.
do you put plastic wrap over the bubble wrap?
I have some more expensive vcr I would like to go ahead and put into boxes, do you know what size box I would need
get your wrap at HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS . tHEY HAVE THE LARGE ROLLS AS WELL . i AM ALMOST AT THE END OF MY LARGE ROLL . i FOUND FOR FREE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD A COUPLE YEARS AGO . The full size rolls last a long time .
Can they put a label on for me using amazon fba? If so, would I just provide a note which one is which so they can label it properly? And does putting on your own labels save all that much money?
I get about 750 ft of bubble wrap for $22 on Amazon. So I never worry about conserving. If you need the link let me know.
Krislyn Miller could you please provide the link?
I would love to have the link as well. Would be nice to save a few bucks
Good video but I’d be pissed as a customer if I received a dvd/Blu-ray or vcr with the cables packed on top. It always scratches the top. ALWAYS.
Good to know. I can put a layer of saran wrap inbetween them. Never thought about the scratching. Thanks
I thought if you tape over the labels with a thermal printer it will become faded away
jesse have u had a problem with fba shipments being checked in? my shipment was delivered a week ago and still hasn't been checked in
Hi do you know how to test the tv/video button?
How do I get approved to sell? Bought one at goodwill and amazon says they want proof I bought 10?
Thanks
I am soon to sell a dvd vcr combo and clueless how to ship once sold cheapest way for ebay sale ?
I have received 3 vcrs in the mail recently. All 3 arrived broken (with things rattling inside). 1 was panasonic and 2 Mitsubishi. They were well packaged. I just don't think vcrs can handle the internal shaking that happens. I won't be ordering a vcr by post again.
Most people dont package properly. Ive recently, after bubble wrapping, started putting them in a double box to prevent damage.
@@ThriftSchool Please show updated video.
Where do you buy your shipping labels?! How do you get cheap?
Thermal label printer? They have ups free but I checked couldn't find it IDK if it will show up again cause people get from ups free I haven't check.othera like fed ex DHL I was running out so I gone 2 for 15 ok Amazon
What do you do with the broken units? Sell for parts? Return?
I take them to the recyclers.
Also is it necessary ro test the digital out jacks before selling?
.
,
Why not include a printed manual also, adds to value and not expensive. Available on pdf for most items.
can I sell them without the remote?
I don’t know about amazon but eBay you can. I do it all the time.
Do you put anything in the VCR slots?
+Mudafugazi when testing, I lile to use a VHS tape to make sure it plays properly
Yeah unfortunately Philips, Sony, and Panasonic are all restricted for me.
Sell used.
How to Properly Test, Prep, Pack and Ship. not tested.
Durf, I usually bubble wrap much more than you did on big electronic items. Have you ever had an issue with broken or damaged merchandise? If not then perhaps I will wrap lighter to save money.
Barkey McCheesepants i deff wraped them way too lightly. im used to using the large bubbles for bubble wrap. i think they will be fine, but we will see soon.
I need 1 VCR please send me?
They look like your packaging up drugs 😂😂
You remind me of chris prat 🤣
Stop knocking on the items!
you could have put a little effort in packing those items🤦🏼♂️
10 minute video of rambling... this could be a 2 minute video no? You must get paid by the hour... ;)
+Randall Ellis I ramble. But I try to be as informative as possible.
Or he could stop bitching and learn to listen. Some people complain if you hand them a free $5 bill. You just gave $20 of free advice....SMDH. Great video. It was very detailed. Randall Ellis needs to learn the difference between rambling and detail..
