Zanker Recycling Receives CRRA Outstanding Construction & Demolition Award, August 2020

The California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA), one of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations dedicated to achieving environmental sustainability, recently awarded Zanker Recycling its Outstanding Construction & Demolition Award. This award honors a business, government agency, or community-based organization that has excelled in the reduction, reuse, or recycling of construction and demolition debris.
We’ve all seen buildings go up, and buildings come down. If not for programs like ours, tons of construction debris would end up in landfills, robbing us of valuable land for open spaces and neighborhoods.
We have a history of innovation. We introduced the world’s first construction and demolition (C&D) diversion program in 1987. More than 30 years later, we continue to innovate. More than 80% of everything that arrives at Zanker Recycling is diverted from the landfill, processed for reuse, and sold through Zanker Landscape Materials - where people can choose from more than 90 green products for landscaping, including aggregates, composts, soils, and mulches.
