I dont think mortar is the problem but the meta shift with the cannon cart buff it made it strong for sure.

I feel like ever sense the cannon cart got buffed it’s just been and underdog season of cards we haven’t seen in a while come back. The cannoneer, mortar, and even thought he’s back for a completely different reason the electro spirit
I’ve always used cannoneer and mortar, but now everyone’s starting to use it and run counters to it, and also cannon cart is so gosh darn annoyingggg

Literally a week after I decided that I’m done with mortar miner bait now it’s the best win condition in the game
I beat this deck every time with icebow. Defensive x-bow and ice wizard gets a lot of value because their only spell is arrows.

It's just way too easy to defend with canoneer, spam or offensive buildings being essentially "the meta" should never be a thing
Easily been winning against the evo pekka and evo MK easily with this deck. Imagine spending a huge amount of money and losing against skilled f2p players.

As a mortar player, I played three times against the first deck. Some people can't build their own decks and only use what is in the meta. This is sad.

I have played Golem/Electro dragon and this "new" Mortar/Cannoneer/Canonkart deck for years at this point.
I think people who copy popular decks one to one don't have any imagination.
That's always been the case even back in 2017
If you wanna win you gonna use efficient decks made by pros, not those random ass mid ladder decks. You're not cool if you build your own decks, in fact its very dumb
