Lol at the broccoli discussion. That was similar to my reaction when I found out the bananas we eat aren’t at all what naturally grows. And I found out yesterday that corn is basically a type of grass that’s been selected by farmers/people over many years to get what we have today. Food is weird! And a part of evolution. :)
A few weeks ago I was researching fruits and vegetables and it’s crazy how a lot have evolved. Watermelon for one looked way different, and yes bananas are definitely modified.
Nobody ever believes me when i tell them that corn is a grain, like wheat, from the grass family. Most corn isn't digestible to humans, very little is actually grown for our tables, so cherish your little yellow grains.
It’s also weird how different fruits and veggies are in different countries. I watch alot of cooking channels and the colors, shapes and sizes of things vary alot from what we have in Finland.
I absolutely LOVE that you guys got dressed up for dinner together (even tho you do not need makeup at all deli, you are gorgeous no matter what) - I am still so happy that you 2 got together lol BTW you both looked amazing

Fun fact: In the UK we call broccolini tenderstem broccoli! It looks just like longer broccoli and it's actually easier to digest so better for the tum and has way more vitamins and minerals than usual broccoli!
I do the same thing with my eyeliner except I use powdered eyeshadow over eyeshadow base. The brush makes it so much easier and also “softer” looking than normal eyeliner

I think it's adorable that you guys made the night special by dressing up and calling it a date night. I had to laugh at Deli's reaction to the fact that EVERYTHING we eat has been genetically engineered. We bred selectively for larger, meatier food animals, larger fruits and vegetables with better flavors, fewer seeds, etc, grains with greater yields and more resistance to fungal infections and insects, etc, etc James' hair is glorious. I wanna see what would happen if he let it grow long. :D
You two are so lucky to have each other during lockdown! If you each think of the other first whenever you get annoyed you'll do just fine. Keeping it fun is so important. I'm not as restricted with lockdown here in the US as you are in Australia. But living alone, hours away from family is really lonely. Even with the limited precautions we do have, it's been over a year since I've seen my kids and grandbabies. Honestly, without my dog and cats I'd lose my mind! I so sympathize with ya'll with being locked down for so long ....... our lock downs are very very minimal we can go anywhere but some stores / small ones only allow up to 3 people ... our major stores are always open only time we were under a massive lockdown and is at the first of the pandemic ..... so many have got their vac's I am getting mine but a bit scared to do so! I react to lots of things so yeah! I am putting it off but I am diabetic so my doc says stay in so I order my groceries etc in ... doc's orders but I enjoy the parks and walking! Me and my husband have been doing date nights for years. 2 times a month. 1 time we go out. The other time we stay home. And do a movie. Cook. Learn a craft. Ect. Watch a old or new movie. This oast weekend. We just watched pure country. Hes a huge GS fan. Then we watched Forever young with Mel Gibson. I absolutely love finding old romance movies. They just dont make them the same anymore.

@@deligracy weve been together 12 years. 9 of which as parents. It doesnt have to be expensive. But heck one date night was him teaching me to weld, ive taught him needle point. Weve both learned origami. He just left for a 3month contract. So we really soaked up movie time this past week. Its so important to continue having alone time. As well as time with the kids.
I grew my hair out for 3 years and didn’t bother getting it trimmed. It was down to my butt. Recently I had to have a foot cut off because the ends were too damaged and dry to keep. Get it trimmed!

Me and my husband have been doing date nights for years. 2 times a month. 1 time we go out. The other time we stay home. And do a movie. Cook. Learn a craft. Ect. Watch a old or new movie. This oast weekend. We just watched pure country. Hes a huge GS fan. Then we watched Forever young with Mel Gibson. I absolutely love finding old romance movies. They just dont make them the same anymore.
I agree! Films are so different now. I just keep watching 90s romcoms 🤣 I love 90s film and tv… apart from the obvious things that haven’t aged well. Also I love that you make this time for each other both at home and going out!
@@deligracy weve been together 12 years. 9 of which as parents. It doesnt have to be expensive. But heck one date night was him teaching me to weld, ive taught him needle point. Weve both learned origami. He just left for a 3month contract. So we really soaked up movie time this past week. Its so important to continue having alone time. As well as time with the kids.
I grew my hair out for 3 years and didn’t bother getting it trimmed. It was down to my butt. Recently I had to have a foot cut off because the ends were too damaged and dry to keep. Get it trimmed!
Ahh Ms Deli, you are such an inspiring combination of spiritual and realistic, I am much older than you, but you are who I'd like to be when I grow up (though any hope of my actually growing-up, at this point, is very slim!)
