In 1992 I began writing graffiti and it changed my entire trajectory in life. It is one of the main building blocks that has gotten me to where I am as an artist today. To celebrate I decided to make a painting of each letter in my graffiti name "CRAOLA", similar to what I did at my 20 year anniversary . In the first installment, I showcased some of the walls that started me oof leading up to now and this one I invite you to come with me as I paint a wall at the legendary Channel Street Skatepark in San Pedro California. Big thank you to Mike Huthmaker for helping me fill in the large areas and for his footage. Big Thank you to Brian Morten for setting things up and his footage and thank you to Andy Harris for the spot and creating such amazing skatepark. I learned about this process by watching his channel and it is such a great technique!
All "Capitals" are painted at 16"x 20" with acrylic paints.

If I were forced to choose a favorite letter this go around, I would have to go with the final A. I don't think you had the mental restriction of thinking about time management, as little as that may have been, as the others. With that said, the others were all knock out pieces.
I love watching you block out colors and then with some kind of sorcery it transforms into these incredible textures!
I'm watching the whole time and I still have no idea how you do it!

An Octopus with lime innards….honestly, the imagination! A fabulous finish to the CRAOLA letter-art. And, a mural, to boot. Your little character adds a nice touch.

@@GregSimkinsArt Woah! The characters fairly jump off the wall! The mean-looking gull(?), dressed as Donald Duck, and the plucky lemony octopus (also dressed as Donald?) are awesome…are they fighting or, working together? I like all the little things, too…the blue pixels, the white ovals, the red stars in the black sky, the little bird looking on…all give the eye a rest from the tense situation going on. The video’s music is amazing, too.
