Great video! Also, I just watched the video on protected membrane roof systems. Also a great video! Do you also have a bulk drainage system for the protected membrane roof system. Specifically, one with a rooftop deck supported by pedestals and a parapet wall with a railing. On the protected membrane stackup, you have a drainage mat directly on top of the membrane. How would moisture be drained from that layer? It is counterintuitive to me to put stacks of insulation on top of a drainage mat and then open that mat to outside air. I know it is very thin, but it sits on a warm roof deck and I wonder if that could create a channel where convective air flow would happen, leeching away interior warmth. Would this just be a price to pay for a 100 year flat roof system or would it be negligible because the mat is a baffle? For context, I am a 65 year old electral engineer, not a building scientist. I've been consuming building science videos and articles for a few years in preparation for being my own GC for a retirement home. I know just enough to be dangerous as they say! 😂 TIA
