I still can't believe he passed. I was never really a huge fan of Jackass, yeah I grew up watching and hearing about their stunts but it was just casual. I knew who all the guys were, but back in 2011 when Ryan passed I was really sad and angry. That shit hurt and I barely saw his stunts. It's kinda crazy.

@Indiana Jonas Addiction problems are a mental health issue. Taking such a hard non-empathetic stance such as yours doesn't help anyone and further stigmatizes the mental health crisis that is addiction. Lots of people suffer from addiction, and often times it's not a choice they want to make.

i met Dunn at Comic Con the year the first Jackass movie came out. i went over to ask for his autograph and to tell him how funny he was. the first thing he noticed was that my left arm was in cast cause i had broken it falling off my ladder while cleaning out my gutters. anyway he asked if he could sign it and i said sure so he did cause he could see i was in pain. se got to talking and he told me the injuries he got. after wards before i left he gave me the biggest hug i ever had and said "Hey man, broken bones suck". for that brief moment with him he made me forget i was in pain. Dunn its been over a decade since you died. we will always love and miss you.

I wish Bam the best because he is obviously still having trouble dealing with the death of his best friend to this day and I cannot say I would be any different due to past experiences. I see comments like so what he was a fucking idiot who put himself in harms way. Yeah he was a jackass sometimes no pun intended but he was also a good human being and didn’t deserve to go out that way.

I remember being soo stoked about the first movie coming out somewhere around 2002ish. I hate hearing about the problems some of the cast members have & have been through. Like Novak & Steve-O's substance abuse problems [[God knows who all else had (still has) drug problems]]. I still get sad when I think about Ryan Dunn. He was deffinately one of my favorite members of Jackass. Rest in Peace, Dunn. You made millions of people laugh, cringe, throw-up and finally.. cry. You entertained an entire generation.

This is what T.J. Kirk once called "Death Perception".
If Ryan Dunn had died in any other way, no one would saying such awful shit in the comments. It is clear from this documentary that Ryan was great, fun-loving person who loved what he did and loved his friends and family.
But he dies while driving drunk and suddenly what his life was actually like becomes irrelevant, because all people can focus on is his death.
If we changed nothing about his life, and then had him die in a manner in which he was not responsible, these same people insulting him would be praising him just the same.
Letting someone's cause of death determine the worth of the life that preceded it is ignorant.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at, is the hatred of him still justified because someone else was killed with him? I understand your point but that doesn't really diminish mine. There's a difference between committing manslaughter and committing murder.

I looked at the comments expecting to see a lot of love and support and instead I am disgusted. Shame on anyone who says that he deserved to die or that the rest of them should too. I absolutely love them all and this showed that they were a family and you're disgusting if you think something as awful as this happening to a family is good or funny. RIP Ryan, sleep tight ❤️

I like to think that Dunn himself would probably brush off all this bullshit if he were alive to read it, but then again, I dunno. People are cursing the dude and saying he deserved to die, and that's just fucked up.

It's crazy to think that a person like Ryan is gone. I've watched my fair share of Jackass, CKY, and Viva La Bam, much like all of you. And I firmly believe that a lot of you can stand next to me when I say that, like the men in this tribute, I have also lost Ryan. I felt almost as if I was personally close to him, because I, and we, knew so much about him just from seeing him in movies and on TV. I know he's in a better place and he's definitely happy and at peace. We love you Ryan.

I was thinking about Ryan Dunn today. I'm not sure way, just out of the blue. so I looked him up. I liked to watch jackass and Bans show. I even let my kids watch it and yes, they did some things other parents might not let they're kids do. Ryan was awesome. I'm so glad I watched this. thank you for posting. I know I'm years late but please be OK guys. I know it's hard. I'll think of Ryan more often now, and with a big smile. RIP Ryan Dunn.

Rest in peace doesnt have to be spiritual or religious, its an acknowledgement that we have respect from a loss such as this. Clearly though you dont have a grasp on respect, so you probably wont understand a single word here.

I can't believe it's been so long since he's passed on. Dunn was such an incredibly kind soul and when he died so tragically us as fans and those close to him felt that pain deep in our hearts. I don't think will ever recover from his passing but it's these clips, the funny moments and the good memories we carry in our hearts that keep his memory alive.
