    Well, the Dollar Store bleu white core paper sucked for me and my Ortur Laser Master 2, however my wife, who is a paper crafter, had some almost denim looking blue paper with a white core that came out to etch pretty decently. My laser is a 5.5W output diode laser, so not as powerful as the LM3. I wish I could post photos because after much testing I got some decent etchings. Thanks for the idea!

      @alanm7186 Рік тому +1

      What settings worked the best with you 5.5w laser? I have the same laser but am having trouble getting it to look as good as his in the video.

      @@alanm7186 - 8000 mm/m, 80% power, bidirectional scanning, regular fill (NOT flood fill - takes too long for Lb to calculate due to graphic with tons of edges).
      The paper you use will really determine the power and speeds. I did several test cards to see how it would look. I used a heavier paper (65 lb?) that my wife probably got at JoAnns in the scrapbooking/Paper Crafting area. Make sure it has a white core. You can tell by looking at the edge of the paper. It’s like plywood. Colored paper front and back and then a white core in center. I used air assist as to not soot up my lens and use a microfiber cloth to wipe away the soot (rotate the cloth to a clean side each wipe for best results).
      Good luck, let me know how it goes.

      @@norbertdavis8903 awesome...thank you for the info. Yeah I think I need to try a different paper as I was trying it on the dollar tree stuff. I have some from Michaels that I will try with your settings and see how that goes.

      @@alanm7186 - dollar tree stuff came out looking like crap as the blue was too light a color. Black or perhaps any other darker color. I think the blue is too close to the diode color and it reflects the laser too much.

    Hi Ben, I did drop you a tweet but didn’t hear from you and presume you are one busy guy.
    I need your advice, how did you weather the ribbon cable on the prop proton packs in GB Afterlife. I’m upgrading this on my Hasbro pack with a brand new GB1 ribbon cable and trying to make it more screen accurate. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    The problem is not selling and putting listings on Etsy. There is more to it. Advertising, marketing, etc. Also Etsy is very saturated with these blue prints and too much competition.

    • @DreadMakerRoberts
      @DreadMakerRoberts  Рік тому +3

      Ok, go to a local farmers market. Sell to friends. Make custom ones for people. Do photographs. That was only a suggestion. Regardless this sounds like giving up before one has even tried.
