If they were to continue the show the only way I could imagine it being done is if they do a time skip sort of deal. Otherwise yeah how it ends is great as is.
The ghost and Molly McGee series ended way too soon, but its final episode was great. Scratch's backstory as Todd makes him all the more likable and relatable. His goodbye to Molly as he finally got the courage to return to his life as Todd was a heartfelt moment, made all the more heartfelt as Todd left Brighton to live his life, with only subconscious memories of his forever friend Molly McGee. I will miss this series, and I honestly wish that we got more from it.
...it's kinda sad because, Molly will probably be depressed, without Scratch and kinda lonely. Until Scratch actually dies, he will probably remember Molly (if he wasn't joking about not remembering her) and spent time with her. Since he's so old...he'll die soon. And, Molly might be like 14?? Or 13?? (Molly is 8. She said so)
It would have been funny if, like in Regular Show, when Rigby lost his body, Molly discovered that there is another ghost using Scratch's body and after a chase, Scratch recovers his body.
5:56 I actually got a copy of Journal 3, Dipper wrote that the reason Stan could get his memories back so quickly was because it had recently happened, so the wound was still fresh. As for McGucket, he had lost his memories for like 30 years, so it took him longer to remember.
But to those who never read the journals, it'll still feel like a cop out. I still do to this day. Because, at least in my opinion, if you had to explain certain details via supplementary materials, it lowkey doesn't count. The only exception to that is if maybe the show was cancelled before it reached its natural conclusion (i.e., Owl House), but Gravity Falls ended of Hirsch's own accord. Therefore, if the show wanted to point that out, then they should've done so in the show itself.
@@angah82 nah not really. The episode about the love potion had a cop out. This makes sense cuz we see Fiddleford use the machine MULTIPLE times. We see his state deteriorate over multiple brain wipes. He says he plans to work to remember, which he does, proving memories CAN be recovered. So Stan recovering after just one wipe makes sense.
I'm personally still hoping, but I have doubts :( Apparently it was getting cancelled back in May after a change in directors in the animation department.
@ConnorLonergan Season 3 could be Todd and Adia coming back to visit. Todd will remember what happened and tell Adia. They'd be friends with the McGees and Chens. Hell they can all turn into wraiths when they want to. Could work.. doubt we'll get a 3.
As someone who was watching the show ever since it came out I have SO MANY mixed feelings abt the ending I was so happy that we got new information about Scratch and have such a sweet ending for him- I was sad realizing what this means for Molly because she has a history of seeing lots of her friends leave and I was devastated knowing one of my favorite shows have come to an end too soon just because disney is terrible at keeping their good shows This show is really special to me- it’s humor is something that feels fresh and new, same with the stories and it even reminds me of my own life in certain episodes. Molly Mcgee is such a relatable protagonist same with Scratch and I’m really gonna miss them Thank you Bill and Bob for such an amazing show
This is a hot take but I liked the ending of Molly McGee more than Amphibia's and Owl House, the message and ending just hit me so much harder. This ending was perfect. I'm so sad they cancelled the show it deserved better.
Yea this one hits a little different. Amphibia's was more sad and toh was more sweet and wholesome. Molly mcgee's was a mix of both. Sad as heck but still sweet and wholesome. When they said the lines of the theme song to each other I started crying
I don’t think that Scratch lost his memories completely. He may not remember everything right now, but they’re still there somewhere, deep down, and they will slowly come back someday. He at least remembers some things, with his development being intact and Molly’s name being mentioned.
I love how shows like TGAMM and Wonder Over Yonder can pull off hyper positive protagonists without making them obnoxious. I'll miss the happiness and charm this show brought us.
I’m gonna be honest, this is technically the first real show to make me cry, I did see a mlp movie in UA-cam when I was 9 but other than that, I really loved this show and will forever miss it..
I've been such a hardcore believer in the wraith theory for a while now, and seeing little details were super cool too. If you look at the episode where Molly is staying in Weird Larry's shop, Todd comes in and dumps out his "old junk" which are recognized to be the pyramids from Scratch's childhood, just a cool detail :]
Let me recommend Sunnyland Production video on the finally they go over great points about the ending and how yes it was what the creators planned and the inspo was really neat also
The finale was amazing and my personal favorite of many show finales like the message of depression and how it can affect you and the thoughts of death as a living person kind of being scary and also it inspired me to take risks in the future and this is important to me because this year late 2024 I'll be 18 and it can be scary to start a new milestone in life but this show inspires me to be positive, happy and live a little and also take risks once in awhile anyways I love tgamm soo much its unforgettable and a part of my life❤ thank the creators bill and bob! 🎉
I wasn’t ready for this show to end either…🥺 I miss binge watching this show and waiting for a new TGAMM episode every saturday. Rip The Ghost and Molly McGee 💔
Nothing could've prepared me for this it was so beautiful but also heartbreaking. I've been here since the day the show premiered so it hurt a lot more
This may not actually be the end, there may be a season 3. The only reason I say this, is because disney has been goin out of their way to say "season 2 finale", whereas they said "series finale" for ducktales, and other shows. No matter if we do get a season 3, I'm still happy with this ending. It had a satisfying conclusion, showing us who scratch was, saying goodbye to scratch, and not ending on a cliffhanger, while still leaving strings unties for potential future content. I'm assuming they made it like a series finale in case it doesn't get greenlit for a 3rd season.
I think Alex Hirsch owned up to that part of the GF finale, that he knows it’s a cop-out but he really needed to give Stan and the younger twins closure of him farewelling them at the end of the show… It’s hard; the show’s structure was kind of loose and they needed to wrap things in a conclusive manner (I for one feel Season 2 needed several more episodes for more time with Ford, but them’s the breaks right?) All that aside, I appreciate when a story - especially one oriented to younger audiences - has the gumption to keep the stakes; Scratch-as-Todd might never remember Molly, but that’s life in a way. She needs to carry those experiences and move forward, to do what she taught him and continue living her life.
I remember first hearing about this show all the way back when it was announced and being someone who grew up with Ice Age(2002) The Lion King(1994) and Madagascar(2005)… I honestly wasn’t that interested in the show and generally ignored it for most of the time(also helped that I didn’t have access to Disney channel which further added to my disinterest). That was until my mom finally got Disney plus on my tv where I would predominantly use it whenever I was alone or had nothing to do then one day, out of pure boredom, i decided to put this show on and it was then that I found out that this show was WAY better than I thought it would be. The stories while simple were engaging and heartfelt, the animation is colorful and lively, and the characters were likable, relatable, and most of all CUTE. Soon, I found myself getting attached to this show and quickly earned itself a spot as one of my all time favorites. Eventually I heard fans were claiming that the series wasn’t going to be renewed for a third season and would come to an early end after the (conveniently named) episode “The End”. And while many fans were upset about it (and some still are to this day) I for one was genuinely ok with the shows cancellation as LONG as it had a proper conclusion, which it fortunately did. So here I am now looking back at the show after it’s two season run and all I can say about it now is “you had a good run, now go enjoy your afterlife”😊
The ghost and Molly McGee was absolute amazing. I experience every episode but not this one. this is the tearful goodbye for the entire viewers on Disney Channel. The golden age is really coming to an end. I’m gonna really miss them so much. I can’t wait for a brand new show debut 2024.
One thing I’ve been thinking about How did scratch (or Tod I’m gonna still call him scratch) Remember that he wanted and was no longer scared of going on his adventures?! Like if he had no memories he would just go back to the old life he had wouldn’t he?
His nickname even as a human is Scratch, so that technically works too. But anyway it's implied that he still remembers fragments (like how he uses the word "enhappify"). and "But that's not who you are anymore. You've changed! You've made friends. You're brave now, brave enough to share yourself with the world. And even if you forget me, I know you won't forget that."
What I liked about the Wraith Scratch theory being true is that it was made to look so obvious (particularly for keen-eye viewers), yet we fans sorta deny it thinking it'd be "too easy", so we would just 'indulge' in the theory cause why not. And yet in the end, it did become true. (The Owl House SPOILERS AHEAD>>>) To me, this is the second time this idea happened on Disney TVA. The first was the theory that King was a Titan.
the saddest thing is that we never got a scene where Scratch says ‘dancing is forbidden!’ 😭😭😭 but in all seriousness, I’m gonna miss this show, what I find bittersweet about the show is that Scratch and Molly could meet again one day if Todd died or if he and Moll both passed away
It's deffinitly a bittersweet and realistic ending. Scratch now get's to travelbthe world and live his best life. And who knows maybe he will remmember Molly.
The poor ratings on TV was likely because of 2 things Leaks on Pirate Sites Marketing (If you never heard of the show you’ll have a hard time finding it besides word of mouth and UA-cam) Remember the ITunes situation with True Colors ? It happened with Jinx VS The Human World.
It’s a shame that we’re losing another banger show, but there are still a couple good ones, my mind goes to Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, that got more episodes recently,
wow, all that's left on disney channel are Big city Greens, and Miraculous ladybug. It's not fair. But at least I can look back and rewatch these shows. Just for me to cry all over again.
To be honest i was not ready either..but it did give ALL of us a small note we don't have much time left..but it does not mean we can still spend time with who are around us and things we do.
Alright, LISTEN! Zooz Vov Gee 2. HEAR. ME. OUT! It was the SEASON FINALE!!! Not the series finale. If it WERE the series finale. Then, we would never get a Season 3. But again, its the SEASON FINALE! We could get a Season 3 in the future, we just have no info yet... Because even though it's called "The End". It's NOT "The End"! Again, we could get a Season 3 soon. But until then... R.I.P TGAMM (October 1, 2021 - January 13, 2024) And Now. I wanna talk about TGAMM. When I heard that disney would be making a new series back in either January or February of 2021. They released the intro for TGAMM. And I was immediately OBSESSED on how good the intro sounded. Then, skip to October 1, 2021 (The Series Premiere) When the first episode aired on Disney Channel, I didn't see it. I remember seeing "First Day Frights" on Disney+. And now skip to 2023 and we get Season 2. And omg we got new characters. For example: Ollie or Oliver Chen... And now... 2024 the Season 2 SEASON FINALE! (not series finale) I managed to see "Jinx Vs The Human World" and "The End" when they aired. But I wanna know something. WHY DID DISNEY UPLOAD "THE END" EARLY BEFORE IT EVEN PREMIERED?! (but back on topic) I saw those episodes, and I was sad that we would never see Molly (I love Molly ngl she kinda cute) and Scratch (He's cool and funny lol) AGAIN! But until we get info for Season 3 of TGAMM, I just wanna say, Thank you, Disney. Thank you for making us laugh, cry, enhappifying. And especially, joyful... So... down from my heart, Thank you, TGAMM. We hope to see you again, someday... We'll never know... so. Again, R.I.P TGAMM (October 1, 2021 - January 13, 2024) (And I realized we're getting Marvel's MGADD (Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur) Season 2 on February 2, 2024)
This show’s finale is my favorite series finale of any Disney show. I do count jinx vs and the end as the series finale because that’s how they came out as a two part series finale.
We have the same favorite episodes! 😂 I loved the video game one (Mainly because of the references like Princess Peach’s hair and crown and Sora’s keyblade one of my favorite games is Kingdom Hearts 😂) and I LOVED how funny the F.O.N.A.A episode! (I have like 3 phobias 😂)
Tbh i did NOT except tgamm to end like this, like i didnt thougth scratch being a human again. It was a great ending and it was a good message, like enjoy the time you still have left you never know when it will be the last adventure. And now another good Show has ended with that...🥀
The show was funny and the main characters had the best chemistry since Anne and Sprig but yeah. The finale came out of nowhere and it was wonderful. Sort of like Pixar's Soul but more impactful. It's like when a show becomes too popular, it gets cancelled. Isn't the whole point of making a show is to see how many people will like it and want to see more episodes? With The Owl House and Hilda being the last ambitious shows ever made and now, Molly, this purging of animation needs to stop.
I think the show can still get renewed for a Third Season. Scratch and Molly are no longer together; however, season 3 can be Geoff or a new ghost as the title of the show is "THE GHOST and Molly McGee" and not "SCRATCH and Molly McGee".
Disney should make a TGAMM movie where the original chairman came back and they get Scratch or Todd and Adia to help and recover his memory to fight the OTC
she was gonna have at least _some_ more focus in season 3 but...Disney cut the show short :( (the producers released their plans for scrapped episodes, and one was about Andrea and Alina)
They likely had some version of this ending in mind since the beginning; Bill Motz was inspired by a play about a caterpillar becoming a butterfly and forgetting his prior friends in the process, and the original pitch was basically Molly teaching Scratch how to live. As for Todd's age, I definitely think he's meant to be well into his 40s, possibly even in his 50s. Pete is supposed to be in his 40s based on that 1987 photo of him as a teen, and Todd's design is markedly older looking than Pete's.
Season 2 had some issues but you know it wasn’t like TOH had the best first episode so it’s fair to say that no show it’s perfect even the best ones. The final episode of Molly was literally one of the best endings ever it’s short but it has a amazing message it really remind me of why I love cartoons
If there is gonna be a sequel to this series, maybe how they can continue the series is since scratch regained his memories by re-entering his body, maybe he could regain his ghost memories by having a near death experience but that could ruin the ending for the first series but thats just my idea
Honestly, the ending works really well however technically there is a way for a season 3 to happen. Scratch just needs to… um yeah. Which it can be done with grace, make it clear some time has passed and that Scratch lived his life to the fullest. You could even have it be he died in a more humorous way like he ate too much food kinda subconsciously forgetting that his human body can’t handle as much as his wrath body could. Personally I hope they just leave it be but my point is that there is some form of hope if you really want it.
I think The End is a solid ending to the show. There’s some stuff I would tweak about it but overall a really good conclusion. I really hate Jinx vs the human world though. Woof that episode is abysmal. Easily the worst episode in the show
My favourite part in the finale was where Scratch and Molly said:
"Best friends....."
"For all eternity."
That is what they say in the theme song.
Scratch says dream team you and me
Then molly says for all eternity
😭
BRO I LITERALLY CRIED AT THAT PART
:(
I thought in the Theme Song Moly sings "Dream team, you and me!"
First Amphibia, then TOH, and now TGAMM? Wow, the golden age of Disney Channel really is coming to an end… 😢
And Gravity Falls
@@Bleppybeans yes! And Gravity Falls…
My personal fav is amphibia
We still have Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

We could get a Season 3 in the future, we just have no info yet... Because even though it's called "The End". It's NOT "The End"! Again, we could get a Season 3 soon. But until then... R.I.P TGAMM (October 1, 2021 - January 13, 2024)
And Now.

Can I be in your next video?
This show’s finale is my favorite series finale of any Disney show.
I do count jinx vs and the end as the series finale because that’s how they came out as a two part series finale.
200th like!! great video btw! i always wondered scratchs life before he became a ghost
Wraith, not ghost.
I cried during it, really.
I'm gonna miss this show
We have the same favorite episodes!
I loved the soda bubbles haha
Tbh i did NOT except tgamm to end like this, like i didnt thougth scratch being a human again. It was a great ending and it was a good message, like enjoy the time you still have left you never know when it will be the last adventure.
And now another good Show has ended with that...🥀
Interesting moral/message/warning given by this episode- if you want to make everyone else happy, sometimes that means giving up your own happiness
Wait what it ENDED? I didn’t see it :(
Disney should make a TGAMM movie where the original chairman came back and they get Scratch or Todd and Adia to help and recover his memory to fight the OTC
I loved it, but WHERE WAS ANDREA IN THE FINALE???!!!!
In the background at the fair.
@@theghosttm8245 you’ve gotta be kidding me
@@zidebo5849 nope
Watch the episodes beginning segment and you’ll see her.
@@theghosttm8245 i believe you, i just can’t believe they delegated her to being a background character
she was gonna have at least _some_ more focus in season 3 but...Disney cut the show short :(
(the producers released their plans for scrapped episodes, and one was about Andrea and Alina)
In the words of Scratch in the theme song “Is there a way to hit restart?”
Woah... My heart...
disney need to stop ending good shows so quickly
So now the only Disney channel animated shows that are still going are hamster and gretel moon girl and big city greens
Hey, don't forget Hailey's On It!
@@kevinlee7678 oh right that one too
They likely had some version of this ending in mind since the beginning; Bill Motz was inspired by a play about a caterpillar becoming a butterfly and forgetting his prior friends in the process, and the original pitch was basically Molly teaching Scratch how to live.
As for Todd's age, I definitely think he's meant to be well into his 40s, possibly even in his 50s. Pete is supposed to be in his 40s based on that 1987 photo of him as a teen, and Todd's design is markedly older looking than Pete's.
Once big city greens is done it will officially mark the end of an era 💀
don't say that that would lead to bad luck
I Miss the Disney show
Where was Andrea during the goodbye scene? Why couldn't she say goodbye to Scratch :(
Gonna have to wait to watch this one, I gotta finish the ghost and Molly McGee first
and enjoy your after(life)
Congrats on 1K likes! (I was the one who made this vid have 1K! >:) )
Season 2 had some issues but you know it wasn’t like TOH had the best first episode so it’s fair to say that no show it’s perfect even the best ones. The final episode of Molly was literally one of the best endings ever it’s short but it has a amazing message it really remind me of why I love cartoons
7:39 - this is way to real for me
Stand proud Zeez, you are strong. - Chill bill
The ending is soooooo sad.....😭😭😭
im glad mollie is canon
I've just watched the finale and it had an emotional ending but had a satisfying ending
If there is gonna be a sequel to this series, maybe how they can continue the series is since scratch regained his memories by re-entering his body, maybe he could regain his ghost memories by having a near death experience but that could ruin the ending for the first series but thats just my idea
Me and my mom were watching this episode and my mom was crying at the end
I recently got back to tgamn and I really miss it. I wish it didn't get cancelled 😭
Banger video as always
I really liked how it ended, but it really deserved at least one more season.
This reminds me of owl house I remember waiting season after season but it wasn’t before long till it ended
Personally I hope they just leave it be but my point is that there is some form of hope if you really want it.
i just finished watching the series and the ending made me cryy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 i really wanna know whos gonna be the new chaiman though
I’m going to say it….this show is unhinged
I think The End is a solid ending to the show. There’s some stuff I would tweak about it but overall a really good conclusion. I really hate Jinx vs the human world though. Woof that episode is abysmal. Easily the worst episode in the show
Thats a crazy ending but Scratches actual real life was being a milkshake in new jersey 😉🥤
Still no apology? You know I'm upset about the art contest
