I bought a $700 ebike last year I fell in love with. This spring, I spent another 500 on a new 4K watt motor and controller and went from 25mph to 35 😎 And when my 72v battery arrives from China I am hoping for 50!! 😮

Not gonna lie NPL but pretty sure it's a safe bet that like almost none of us are here for $6k bikes
So just go ahead and roll out that sub $2k video 👍🏼

What percentage of e bike riders keep their e bikes stock? I'm guessing its right around 50%. Companies are waking up a little bit to the people all craving more power when buying a new stock e bike. I hope in another year or two, and we will have a lot bigger selection of higher-powered e bikes that aren't all just dirt bike style bikes... I turned my Fucare Scorpio into a 72v bike, but the only stock thing on the bike is literally just the frame now.. I like the way these new bikes coming out all look, but the lack of power stock is just disappointing. I like pedaling my bike most of the time, but being able to go 45 - 55mph, even just for a little bit on roads where its safer to flow with car traffic, rather than riding on side of road is ideal. If most of these bikes are breaking the "28mph" law by 2mph anyways, then why not make them go 10-15mph faster to flow with car traffic when needed?

It's quite possible to make a 72v bike that's fast, has a good ride, handles well, and, still looks like a bicycle. The cool thing about bicycles is that they're under the radar, the bikes in the vid aren't.

My pick would be spark javelin straight out of the box. Right now I have a 72v super 73 rx and 72v spark bandit.

72v MX5 is $4700 from Luna with shipping included, but is 160#. Or you can get a 125# light bee and upgrade to 72v.

I like my delfast 3.0 better. I got 160 miles on a single charge. Anti thief alarm, turning signals, side mirrors, 3,000w motor and 50 mph. The bike as a carbon belt for a change so no rust. My ebike looks like a motorcycle for real.

i know it's only 60volts ..but of all people FREEGO has come out with suron/estrapz type ebike , for 2700$ and spark cycle works was 2 new bikes called the javelin , and the grunt .. you might find them interesting :)

I was ecstatic when I researched the Freego X2 (I think that's what you were referring to) until I read this: "This product is not UL certified and cannot be sold or shipped to residents of NYC." It may or may not be an issue depending on the rider but with e-bike battery fires still happening, this should still be a caution.

@@gcdplz my apologies, i wasn't aware of there non certified status .

@@davep3786 no worries, you were pointing out an interesting alternative. I agree with your initial comment that freego came out with a surgeon/estrapz alternative with the specs to back it up (compared to P-51 Bikes that are considered a street-legal Surron with awesome suspension BUT lower power specs). I hope Freego can get that certification cleared in the future; if so the X2 would be on my list

I think Juiced reviewed the NIU xQi3, the battery died after an hour or so and he had to walk it home.

If you get that new fat tire direct drive from Grin Tech. Your dual battery p-51 72v bike would be a whole new machine! That geared hub motor is really holding your bike back. Any wattage over 2500w going through these "rated" 750/1000w geared hub motors, is just wasted. A direct drive motor at the wattage you run on the P-51would be a lot better all around.

I do wish the solar 2.1 would have the motor not in the back of the swing arm, more in the front, it just looks ugly and would ick me 😂. But light is nice. If im spending 6k tho these batteries should be near 60ah... Not 35 to 40ah..

Surprised you didn't mention the Surron Ultra Bee. You can get the road legal model for $5300, with the spec's it offers I find it hard to beat at that price

Thanks for posting with higher end bikes. Once you get a taste of the good stuff, it’s going to be hard settling for mediocre offerings.
The good thing about e-bikes are the vast amount of start-ups & new offerings, which is simultaneously the bad part about e-bikes.
In any case, this is an exciting time for this era.
I’ll tell you about a couple of great bikes for $1800-$6999
Hint Rev1 & Land are the low & highs. Spark Javlin & Brut, which has 72v & is an absolute steal.
There are plenty others, but 60v 4000w should be industry average for this class/type. 36-52v is simply not worth the investment IMHO, especially if you’re replacing a mode of transportation.
Great information, looking forward to seeing your next vlog.

I would say that the ERide Pro SS is more worth it because 30 amp hours just dies at you when you’re pushing 6k watts.

I am watching your channel to better understand what's out there from someone who's riding & doing the research. That makes
you "Tops" for my understanding & I'm kinda waiting for a few things to happen; better lithium batteries & prices along w/ trying
to see how States will decide to TAG/License these bikes? That's going to be a major limiter on how I move forward so as they
determine how to make the most money off the "sheep", I'll be trying not to get sheared by them..... thanks for the video. peace
