The bridge you took most of the footage from was known as twin bridges, (or tin bridges, depending on who you spoke to). Great footage. Thanks for sharing....
Absolutely superb video, it’s great to see the view from that bridge in Woking as I remember it with all sorts of wagons and locos in all directions, and of course many more sidings than there are now. Nice clips from OOC too. I very much enjoyed that video, and have subscribed to your channel. Look forward to watching more 👍👍👍
At 611 on the video diesel going off around the bend heading for brookwood the siding that stops short of the house used to run past the house until freight train with empty rail carrying flat bogees was switched onto the siding of the main line and crashed into the back of a load of frieght cars the impact snapped one of them in half and it was up in the air like a large pyramid right next to the house it took hours and hours of them trying to figure it out so that the thing didn't topple into the side of the house that was about mid 1970s I lived in the Kingsway which is around 100 yards from that house the noise of the impact was deafaning
Sidings all gone now on the upside !! Only Days aggregates use a few sidings on the down - Guildford side !! Local council trying to shut them down due to truck movements in residential areas!!!
I used to live up in North West London in the late 80s/early 90s and i used to wander round a couple of times a week usually after work in high summer when it was light!! I even got familiar with a couple of the Foremen down there who were always obliging!!
When the yard looked like a yard! Thanks for sharing Steve.
Cheers Dave, amazing how much it has changed!! And not for the better!!

I'm a train and I approve this video! :)
Old Oak was always great for a discreet stroll round - did you get n by the hole in the canal fence?

What year was this shot, 94 ish?
Yes, it was from my footage taken between 1993 and 1995. One thing i regret is not keeping dates logged
