Charging for the first time right now. When I tap it, there is no showing of the battery. I had to unplug it then plug it in again to see what the amount of charge was. Tapping does nothing. I see a straight line in the middle and that is it.
I'm having the same problem. It's a very unintuitive device.

im looking for information on what charge base is possible with this device without damaging it. " 5 volt 1 amp? 2 amp? whats ok like a phone charger 5volt 1 amps or tablet 5 volt 2 amps and does the better /faster option dmg the device in anyway...
please read this and help if you can!! okay so i got my charge 3 like over a year ago and i used it for a good while until i lost the charger for it. i’ve bought multiple off brand ones that never worked but yesterday i finally got the actual fitbit one and it does not charge. when i plug it in i can feel the little vibrate but nothing comes up on the screen and on my charging port there’s a light that lets me know if power is leaving that port going into a device and it’s not lighting up. also when i hold the “button” while it’s charging it vibrates for as long as i hold it. since i lost the charger ive gotten new phone so it’s not paired with my current phone and since it won’t turn on there’s no way i can pair it again. i don’t know whats wrong i’ve tried everything please help

I am trying to do this but it won’t charge and I am getting really upset. I left it to charge a whole day and the battery went down. When I plug it in on the Fitbit is shows a battery symbol with and exclamation point it in. What does that mean?

So how is the main battery charging? Will the kit come with a wall plug?
The kit will not come with a wall plug. Only a usb (type a, not usb-c). You can plug the usb into anything that will charge via usb type a.
