Can't figure this out.. There was, I thought, a 60's game show in color, where there was what appeared like a narrow window that seemed to face blue sky to the viewer's left. I was in my aughts when I got this impression.
Would you be the William Dunphy from Worcester Mass? If so, I went to school with an Andy Dunphy back in the early 70s, if it is you, then it really IS a small world
Haughty was a toughy, it's no wonder the players had trouble with it, it seems to me that it's not widely used in the general vernacular. Sounds to me like Allen couldn't hide his envy, mentioning how rich Polly is, at least three times
Too short of a game for this one, and perhaps this is why the first Password was cancelled later in the year of 1967: not enough numbers (there was no 6 on TV; maybe faces were more important than numbers). They also whistled the conclusion, and they dropped the 'Brought to you by' opening. Yet I have a good memory of Password because I saw it in Long Island! And as of 2018, Betty White is still alive as you should know!

I never heard of it but I would have tried 'C-O-L-D-Y''
I never heard of the word 'Haughty' but I would have tried 'COLDY' (dragging the word out)
