I was kind of shocked at the lack of research put into these family trees. This channel is normally incredibly thorough. The big story when Godfather 3 came out was it had Sofia Coppola in it. Sofia was panned terribly by critics some blaming her as the reason GF3 wasn't nearly as good as part 1 and 2. Sofia later of course redeemed her career as a Director in Lost in Translation. This was off the top of my head how could the video miss this? If I had to guess the only real research went into the Barrymore family tree which would be fine but they should have cut all other tree's not researched.
I think the video was just intended to focus on the Barrymores, with the rest just kinda being bonuses, so they just kept it simple for the rest of the trees and only included the biggest names. That said the absence of Wayans Jr and Sofia Coppola is kinda strange.

I think that the connection between Lady Diana's family, surnamed Spencer, and Winston's relatives who were surnamed Spencer-Churchill or just Churchill, was quite a long way back? I've seen quite a few public member trees on ancestry that erroneously have the late Princess of Wales as a Spencer-Churchill rather than a Spencer, so it would be nice for there to be a video which sets that particular record straight and explains the connection between the Earls Spencer, Dukes of Marlborough and so on. I guess with both Winston and Diana in the (very) extended family it arguably makes them the most important aristocratic family in Britain in the 20th century.
Winston Churchill is my 4th cousin 4 times removed through his mother’s side, so I will be very interested to see this (even if it doesn’t include my very un-noteworthy line of the family 😄).

Daughter Emilia has been in TV shows like Merlin and Silent Witness and son Freddie is in the movie Pride and has also been in TV shows like The Crown and White House Farm. James Fox is the brother of Edward and has had many film and TV roles since the 60s. James is the father of Laurence Fox who is best known for his role in detective drama Lewis but has caused a lot of controversy in recent times due to his strong personal and political views. Laurence was married to actress Billie Piper for many years and they had 2 children but they divorced in 2016. Not much really there. Before Fred the tree is kinda dead. His mother and father were a farm couple in Mississippi, Fred grew up marginally Christian but was saved as a teen, IIRC. If I remember right he went to a bible college, then off to law school, was a civil rights attorney in the 60s and then he went off the deep end, finally got disbarred in the 80s and became a full time lunatic, founding Westboro and going on to terrorize the country.
While interesting and I had a fun time - I wonder what age Jack thinks we all are‽ I would say that Kirk Douglas was just as famous as his father and most of the Barrymore names were totally familiar already. Nice to see how they connect but give us some credit.

He married several actresses but his last wife was the daughter of American playwright Eugene O'Neill and English-born writer Agnes Boulton. So this Dynasty is far-reaching

My nephew married a girl who’s foster dad was a chauffeur for an old woman lived in million dollar home behind Camelback Mountain in Phoenix. The reception was at that home. Had pictures on the walls on the Barrymore’s and herself. From the 1920’s. She was a real beauty in those pictures taken at famous clubs and posed also. She was very close to Barrymore family..
What about the Bridges - Lloyd, Beau and Jeff? And the Redgraves, which is a long and deep dynasty as well.

Carrie Fisher's father, Eddie Fisher was a popular singer. After Divorcing from Debbie Reynolds he married Elizabeth Taylor, they didn't have children, but Elizabeth had several with her former husbands, some of whom were in show business. Elizabeth soon divorced Eddie, Eddie then remarried and had two more daughters, both of whom are actors.
I knew some of these people were related, but put side by side now I can really see the resemblance

Daughter Emilia has been in TV shows like Merlin and Silent Witness and son Freddie is in the movie Pride and has also been in TV shows like The Crown and White House Farm. James Fox is the brother of Edward and has had many film and TV roles since the 60s. James is the father of Laurence Fox who is best known for his role in detective drama Lewis but has caused a lot of controversy in recent times due to his strong personal and political views. Laurence was married to actress Billie Piper for many years and they had 2 children but they divorced in 2016. James is also the father in law to actor, comedian, writer and director Richard Ayoade due to Richard marrying his younger daughter Lydia

I've recently been super interested in the craziness of the Westboro Baptist Church. I would find it super interesting to watch a video about the pastor's family tree.
Not much really there. Before Fred the tree is kinda dead. His mother and father were a farm couple in Mississippi, Fred grew up marginally Christian but was saved as a teen, IIRC. If I remember right he went to a bible college, then off to law school, was a civil rights attorney in the 60s and then he went off the deep end, finally got disbarred in the 80s and became a full time lunatic, founding Westboro and going on to terrorize the country.
While interesting and I had a fun time - I wonder what age Jack thinks we all are‽ I would say that Kirk Douglas was just as famous as his father and most of the Barrymore names were totally familiar already. Nice to see how they connect but give us some credit.

Fun fact: Gladys Rankin is the Great Aunt of Arthur Rankin Jr. She was the only full sister of his grandmother, Phyllis Rankin. Arthur in turn went on to create Videocraft International with Jules Bass. Videocraft later became Rankin/Bass which would bring us Christmas classics such as Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, and The Year Without a Santa Claus.
I remember those Rankin/Bass movies and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was one I watched as a young girl. 😊❤️

There was a story after the crossover episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks & Strange New Worlds last year that two of the actors were reminiscing about coming from “Hollywood Royalty”: Ethan Peck (who plays Spock on SNW) is the grandson of Gregory Peck (I know him from “To Kill A Mockingbird”), & Jack Quaid (who plays Brad Boimler on Lower Decks) is the son of Meg Ryan & Dennis Quaid.
Here in Philadelphia our theatre awards are called Barrymores :)
