ULTRA V3 has the closest 16x19 pattern compared to any tweener racquet. This makes it incredibly precise for a tweener more on the controlled raquet realm. Also one of the lowest launch angle on a tweener... Stability is out of this world for 300 grams. Great review as always! But I’d try it with a different string & tension.
I agree for a tweener frame it’s up there in stability - I think I’d be using a super soft multi with this but I’d probably be busting strings left and right
Once I put a leather grip on the racquet it totally changed the racquet. I am a 5.0 aggressive baseliner player with fast strokes and I love how easy it is to point and shoot with this racquet.
@@FootDoctorZach it's métallique frame !!! Not for me, but over all it's good raquette, good control, I like it in backhand and slice. I defenitivly joign your conclusion
Have you tried the wilson ultra pro v 3.0? I am a long time pro staff user from the original in 1984 up to the v13 RF97. I just switched over to the Ultra Pro V 3.0 which is the pro stock model you can only get from the wilson website. In stock form it is way too light but if you weight it up properly it is probably the best racquet I have ever used. One of my complaints about the RF97 racquets is that after the original RF97 in 2014 the feel got too muted. Some of it was the countervail technology and some is attributed to the matte paint job. I have my Ultra Pro V 3.0 modded out to 345 gm of weight and 8 pts headlight with strings. It has better feel than the original RF97 and more stability than any racquet I have used. The very noticeable thing is just how stable it is. Even in stock form it has very low twist in the hand. With mods, I can barely feel any torsion on off-center hits. It has lower power but higher control allowing for looser string tension which makes more comfort for the elbow while retaining good control.
From what I remember about the speed, no it was pretty maneuverable and the hoop didn’t seem sluggish but I’d like to hit with it a few days in a row again to get a really good feel for it
I made a big mistake getting this as my first racket 2 years ago, i got it and it was way above my skill level, i was just starting out and I didn't know what i was doing, and then i got better and kind of drew away from tennis, and then i started again and then when on a absolute 2 month tear after getting a new racket, i wore out the grip and then started using this racket and then started hitting VERY hard balls and getting them in, it is good if you know how to play tennis, if not then get a heavier racket.

I’ve played with leather for some time now - I hate the feel of a soft grip now
@@FootDoctorZach if I'm playing a match I can't go back to a soft one. I agree with you 100%. Only if I'm teaching I'll use one
its insane to compare the ultra, a relatively light racket, with the RF79, the heaviest in production for retail...
I wish they still made this racket in the 16 x 15 string patten. The old Ultra S was a spin monster.
Yeah that does generate some RPMs for sure
Which racquet gives you most pop on flat serve and slice?
In general? Yonex Ezone for me, Head Extreme pretty close
Thank's Hé i will try it tomorrow !
Let me know how you like it !

👍
Have you tried Ultra V2? What do you think about that? I'm thinking to update my racket for the ultra v3.
Nope not yet
Yonex VCORE 95! I would love to see you play with that.
I actually had one to review then held off because of the newer ones coming out so I’ll be getting to it soon actually
@@FootDoctorZach Even better! Great opportunity to compare both versions because I heard the new one is as well received.
Yup that was my thought too
I now have the babolat pure aero and i want a new racket. Wich racket do you recommend ? Wilson ultra 100 or wilson blade 98 16x19 ?
Coming from the aero the blade is more similar but the the ultra and then blade couldn’t be more different
Thanks for vid! What did you like most Ultra or Clash?
Clash for sure, for me they play a lot more nimble

I haven’t tried it but I really want to get a few of the prostocks and mess around with them and do like you did and really tune them up
The differences with the 2.0 cv? For you?
Could you do a review on the Speed MP? Thinking of trying it out.
I have it on my list- I like the Speed a lot, played with them last year for a while and really liked it
@@FootDoctorZach did you find the MP a little sluggish because of the headsize and balance?
In this frame or the head?

What racket is most similar
The babolat pure drive plays similar
@@FootDoctorZach which one do you recommend and why
It’s really personal preference- neither are my favorite rackets but the Wilson will have more spin- pure drive more power just depends on your game

Do you recommend the light version of this racket? 100L for a beginner? Currently on sale in are place we limited choices here in mid asia
What brand is that half zip shirt?
Ping I think
Only thought if EZONE looks like this it'll be perfect!
And the vcore looks like the new Dunlop cx series, but of course I prefer black more
Yup it’s a pretty slick looking frame
I agree the new ultra paintjob is prob the prettiest of wilson's racquet color schemes
no es pesada al menos solo al inicio seguro por eso la sentiste así
I hate the cosmetic. Could Wilson put more ugly colors together?
Haha not a Carolina panthers fan?
It’s hideous
