They are like a lesson to the younger generation and to all people to allow yourself to be classy, creative, unique and stylish. Go all the way. If you have talent be thankful, use it to the max and play with it. Test the boundaries. Get together and be cool yet humble like it used to be. You don't need a whole lot of equipment just pure passion and simplicity. Prince comes to mind somehow. Such enchanting, soulful, beautiful and aesthetic musical creations Khurangbin provides to lovers of music. And let's face it - the true musical genious is Marc but he'd probably deny it. DJ and Laura are just perfect in their function and skill as well though. They are a lovely unit. Thank you. Much Love.
@@vescou I am a former vinyl collector and also a computer & keyboards song writer also. You're right, I'm a little excessive. But I've heard these grooves tens of thousands of times in 70's bands . Near clones sometimes. *"umr vr90"* on google & you can hear a lot of pieces and rares grooves collectors, since 1960 to 2000 (all kind of grooves) when it's On Air. Have a great day from Paris.
Continually amazed at how much they can do within the confines of their style and only being 3 people. This is really taking me back to the "acid jazz" sounds of the 90's.
There's no confines. Their influences go from Vietnam, to zamrock, to Brazilian and mexican funk, to Californian soul, to dub, Malian folk ethiojazz...like their abilities are never ending.
@@souporlouis it was a great experience. They came to Raleigh, NC on my birthday weekend which my wife surprised me with tickets. Big Daddy Kane opened up then Lee Fields and The Expressions came on, unbelievable show.
That's awesome. They opened with the same in Toronto, someone fainted halfway during the song and the band made sure the person was doing okay before restarting the song from the intro so we got to hear that kickass bassline again haha. They were incredible indeed. A longer improvised version of Lady and Man was probably the best part of the show!🤘🏼
The grooviest music you've ever heard blasting through the speakers of a psychedelic elevator ascending straight through the cosmos right up to the heavenly ninth sphere....That's the vibe I get when listening to this absolute masterpiece. :)
This band never cease to amaze me. I thought "Friday Morning" was their best song, great song indeed. But after hearing this one, I should reconsider my position.
For real. Mark is up there just tearing shit up so smooth you have no idea how much work is going into all of this. Also, can we just give DJ another shout-out for teaching metronomes how to keep time?
Id see this group, 1) cause the crowd is sitting and i cant stand for too long, 2) the crown actually shuts up and listens, 3) cause this music is awesome.
This performance was filmed in 2020 when Covid rules were being enforced up the wazoo. If you watch the entire performance you'll hear Laura Lee say to the crowd,"Happy 2020".
If you dont care about your safety then I could give less of a damn but you should definitely be considerate to others that actually have brains and protect others.

A band that defies cliché. It's like they should not exist. But they do. One of the most original bands out there.
This is the best performance of Khruangbin. The vocals are in balance and clean.
On par with this one I think ua-cam.com/video/WdPDXEiJOEg/v-deo.html
pure style, nothing to ruin it... they're so dreamy yet so real.

Man, I like that Roy Ayers vibe in this song...ethereal
i like that thought
This is really just a vibraphone solo away from sounding like a classic Roy Ayers joint.
This is the rebirth of the cool.
Saw them live in Oct. 2021 and Mark played this so wicked. They opened the show with this and it was incredible.
That sounds amazing man..what an experience!!

It's so weird seeing a talented female musician. Plus she's hot. There's only like 5 of those on earth.
