Incredible tribute to the hungers strikers of 1981, most of whom died slowly and terribly. Song written by the great Brian Warfield, sung by the great Tommy Byrne, flute played by the great Noel Nagle. One of the best songs to ever come out of Ireland.
You dare to call me a terrorist, while you look down your gun ! Powerful words and very true . Brilliant song and sung by the best ballad singer . Tommys voice is perfect for this song .
In TOTAL LOVE with this song.....May ALL hail Bobby Sands and "the ten brave men" my inspiration and motivation springs from their courage, dedication and sacrifice. Our Day WILL Come.... PROUD to be an Irish American loyal to the cause. UP THE 'RA TIOCFAIDH AR LA
The W.Tones haters crack me up. Be proud of your country and its history. its only when you have to leave it that you will miss it and become more irish then ever. I have lived in the states for 15 years, but i am a non-apolegetic nationalist till the day i die. A nation once again
I went on a train from Dublin to Bobby Sands Funeral in Belfast and it was quite the experience. I saw what indoctrination was that day. Little Protestant children throwing rocks at our train (the Catholics coming from the South) But of course the Catholic Children were doing similiar things to the Protestants. They were only doing what they knew.
this breaks my heart because i lived through it and really know how bad things were at that time and i am thankful for the volunteers that protected our areas
May God shine on you Bobby Sands, for the courage you have shown. May your glory and fame be widely known. And Francis Hughes and Ray Mc Cresh who died unselfishly and Patsy O'Hara.... The next in line is me (Joe Mc Donnel).
the Tones can bring it home everytime! fairplay to ye lads! 800-years of tragic, ironic history wrapped up in a 7-minute song! God Bless and God speed!
I have seen the Tones in concert six times, and whenever they play this song, there's not a dry eye in the house. The raw emotion that passes through them and into the audience is beyond words.
Did these incredible men and thousands of other's gives so much for sinn feint mi5 to fight for the UN S replacement migration plan??? HOW FUCKIN DARE THEY USE THE NAME OF A PEOPLE WHO FOUGHT OPPOSITION WHILE THEY WORK TO IMPOSE THE GREAT RESET IMPRISONMENT IF THE IRISH PEOPLE . THEY WILL BE NO HIDING PLACE FOR YOU TRAITOR S
RIP Joe mcdonald thank u for your sacrifice up the RA free Northern Ireland from British occupation!!! They are still screwing with our people. RIP to all who sacrificed!!!
I love this song, and the Wolfe Tones are one of my favourite Irish bands, we saw them perform in 2009 in Dublin , at the Taylors Tree Rock. I met Brian and Tommy.
Fantastic Wolfetones, Tommy has a brilliant voice, I saw them perform in Dublin in 2009,at The Taylors Tree Rock and they were simply great, had my photo taken with Tommy and Brian.
None of this should have happened. Those 10 brave men did not have to die. They should have lived long lives and bounced grandchildren on their knees. Their 'crime' was not kowtowing to their oppressors. Instead they demanded their rights as political prisoners. Thatcher killed them but there is no honor or victory for her. God Bless them all, and they forever Rest in Peace. TAL
god what a song... i remember when the hunger strikes where on.. (now i showing age).. i never forget those boys that so galliantly gave there lives ... thank you god for these times are gone please forever... forwards ever and backwards never....

This song is so full of soul and emotion, and the tune is fantastic, and the words by Brian are inspired by events in Ireland in 1981.
