Any time I play basketball and I have to defend someone in a fast break by running backwards I just imagine how much harder it would be to do that guarding Tyreek Hill ☠️
Man I don’t even play cb and I can tell you Corner is harder and it’s not even close. Dudes gotta look at the QB, the receiver and make sure they don’t get penalized when defending the receiver which you won’t know what kind of flag the ref gonna throw out when they so inconsistent with passing interference calls.
Respect Omar for acknowledging Center is the hardest: Centers have to point and call out the combos. They Identify the defense and get the rest of the unit on the same page. The only thing that’s much easier for the center than tackle is pass blocking. More often than not the center has help unless the center is really really good. Tackle can be physically challenging and blocking a 4 tech in pass pro is HELL. Blocking a 9 technique on third and forever with no back and no slide help is HELL. And sage is right not having a passable protector on the blindside is impossible for quarterbacks
Played with Micah parsons in high school whom is my cousin. I was a Free safety played d1 football.Them DE DT LB are sometimes the fastest and the strongest on the field imagine blocking a 6’3 250 pounder who can run a 4.4 then you got the corner coming around the edge.
Cool I respect your view and respect your experience but man Corner is way harder it’s so hard to guard another man running full speed and you got to back pedal just like oline I’m a senior in high school I play LG and DT if you say what’s easy I’m going to say DT because I get to run full speed at a man but at guard I have to kick slide back and block another 300 + man going full speed but corner is still harder if I’m just watching the game man.
Also olinemen can't move while the dline can do a whole ass ballroom dance, as long as the don't cross the line that's in front of them tackle us the hardest for sure
The NBA Center is dificult to develop because the demands of a center change depending on the team. The modern big has to be switchable in PNR, and a quality shot blocker at least. 4x DPOY Rudy Gobert has trouble getting in playoff line-ups due to defensive limitations. What I will say is, offensively, teams scheme around what a big can do rather than developing them like perimeter players.
Middle linebacker is an underrated position that people don’t think of much but in most defenses they gotta call out what they see from the offense, responsible for both the run and pass game, are called to rush sometimes
I mean I’m not sure if I agree but I can see the argument. People talk about how corners are reacting to all receivers actions but centers have to keep up with guards on the perimeter. Grab rebounds, and also have high offensive responsibilities with sometimes having to shoot.
I don’t know, I feel like that’s starting to change. Not harder than positions in other sports, I don’t know football like that, but I think center is starting to become the hardest position in the nba. Centers are starting to need to be so versatile offensively and defensively, and with how offenses are, the amount of defensive possessions where you aren’t the lynchpin and the main reason whether your defense outright collapses or gets a stop is few and far between. Defensively, it’s the hardest position, offensively, it’s getting there too. I actually think point guard is starting to get easier because fewer teams are having their point guard as the primary ball handler.
I love and appreciate Ya'll for having this conversation.. as someone who's played both Offensive line (highschool) and Cornerback (college).. Offensive line is EXTREMELY difficult and deserves a spot on the "hardest positions" to play list.(taking nothing away from corners cause the sheer running alone is insane. You need godlike staminia) but imagine lining up against a Khalil Mack; a Vince Wilfork, Von Miller etc. Not only do you do you have to be strong enough to physically stop these five star A1 specimens; but you have to be smart enough to know what to do against them and fast enough to be able to get to the spot. look up Larry Allen bro was probably the biggest man in the NFL and the strongest and could move like he stole something out your mama's top drawer. Imagine asking someone who was the size of a sumo wrestler to be as athletic as in NBA Center it's actually crazy to think about then not to mention the likelihood of playing with injury is far greater in football than it is in basketball play based off the amount of collisions in Impact I want to play to play bases. Hands down the three positions that see the most contact on a plate of play basis offensive line cornerback and running back
I think being a point guard is the toughest assignment especially going into a league that favors bigger and longer players… Football it absolutely is the corner back or offensive line back. They explained it very well.
Linebacker is crazy underrated. Look at it like this, the top 4 linebackers in the league are all on the 49ers and Ravens and they are considered the best teams in football this year
Omar saying center is hardest cause he played center is such an Omar thing. Dude I’m white and they let me play center. My job was literally call out the play, hike the ball, be in the way. It’s physically hard cause you get hit, but you don’t need to be some super athlete to do it
6:37 I never played anything beyond pick up football with the homies all throughout my childhood, never played in school/little league or anything like that, which is all to say I can’t speak on it from a player aspect… my only perspective is that of a life long NFL fan. But I was always under the impression that LB was the hardest position to play on the defensive side of the ball? So that’s not the case?
I would say yes the average CB is probably doing the harder work then the Average center but compare to like Jokic he’s doing more Then the average center he’s running a team no CB can run a team
that’s not a good point bc the reason jokic is so great is he’s basically a point guard who’s 7 foot, and is a positionless player. Football players can only effect one side of the ball so they cannot become positionless. Corner is harder than center.
Corner is extremely extremely hard LMFAOO from an offensive lineman id say corner than tackle ngl you can switch them but it’s extremely difficult to stop someone on the attack full speed while running backwards and having to cut on a dime. What I will say is line becomes difficult when it’s a long drawn out drive having to continuously pass set and or run block and tiring and picking up blitzes from strong as backers is not fun. What makes tackle and corner hard is that your always on an island you’ll almost always be dolo unless you got a safety over the top and if your guard is doubling with you
You have more freedom playing LB. Playing corner it’s only you and him, and you have so little wiggle room to even play your position. And if you get beat as a cb the only thing you can do is pray you had some safety help
@@KingJinzo2125 your saying facts but there is a reason LB gets targeted and abuse more than CB, they ask to defend the run and pass while reading the QB or don't have an impact on the game. That's why I would have LB as the hardest position. I do understand though that some LB aren't ask to do a lot and most CB in any scheme will be ask to do their job.
Nah Fr wats the hardest position Being Lebron 😂 in basketball it’s Point everything that goes into being a PG and being successful yea in Football QB ,RB and CB
Any time I play basketball and I have to defend someone in a fast break by running backwards I just imagine how much harder it would be to do that guarding Tyreek Hill ☠️
That's 10x easier tho because you know they want to get to the basket and it's only like 30 ft. I get what you mean tho.

I think people forget all that a cornerback is tasked with. It's a miracle those guys can even keep up
Corner and Offensive Tackle are significantly harder than Basketball Center

As a huge NBA fanboy I can say that the center is NOT the harder position. Even in basketball its not the hardest.
Being a point guard, leading your team and running an offense just seems so hard to me as a former 6’2 big man and now wing 😂
I mean I’m not sure if I agree but I can see the argument. People talk about how corners are reacting to all receivers actions but centers have to keep up with guards on the perimeter. Grab rebounds, and also have high offensive responsibilities with sometimes having to shoot.

LB is looked at like RB sadly more specifically MLB, outside LB is good tho
Center isn’t even the hardest position to play in basketball this shouldn’t even be a discussion
Bro sage had to break it down!!
QB is easily the hardest it shouldn’t be a debate. They dictate the whole game
I would disagree considering Coaches can hold their QBS hand and lead them to success quite often.

No funny, the hardest position in basketball is being the best player on your team.
The position where you can do everything right and still fail is corner. Therefore it’s the hardest
Sage and damu speaking🎉!!
I played tackle, corner is the hardest position in football.
and bottom left does not know football, safety is one of the hardest positions on defense and center is top 3 hardest position on offensive side
Luke was a fucking demon omg he ran the whole defense is was laying wood pause
NFL center is also hard asf as well.
Corner is the hardest position of all of the American sports
bro if you seriously believe this you are on crack😭

Cb QB LT is harder than any position in football I played 10 years of both sports and no position in basketball is as hard as those 3 positions
Playing Left Tackle is harder than a Cornerback
