Don't be fooled to think you can live on a seasonal pitch! It is not that simple, more details in our other video about how to live in a caravan in the UK legally: ua-cam.com/video/OYNBmQh2edU/v-deo.htmlsi=VFszunrGD1vswlVR ua-cam.com/video/OYNBmQh2edU/v-deo.htmlsi=VFszunrGD1vswlVR
Yes that's a good point, however seasonal pitches for statics are more expensive and it's often tricky to move a static if you want to change a site. Also many sites do not allow siting older statics - they want you to buy a new one from them.
Well, price is determined by demand and supply. On many campsites there is a queue of people waiting for seasonal pitch, some of them have to wait even couple of years! 😁 /M
😍 I wouldn't say we are lucky, as we direct our lives in a way to be able to live this lifestyle. We made some decisions, sacrifices and consciously made many hard decisions - I wouldn't call it luck, I would call it hard work to live your life the way you want to live it and be happy where you are 😁 /M
Well, typically campsites have rules about how long people can stay, and they may keep track of who's on the site and for how long. If you overstay your allotted time, you could be subject to additional fees or penalties. Additionally, if you're planning to rent a pitch on a site, you may be required to provide identification and contact information, which could make it difficult to stay for longer than the allowed time without being noticed.
Hi again Fergus, if you really want to get out of renting and live on site without worrying if someone is going to make you move... get a campsite job 😎 Some sites offer part time contracts, you can easily treat it as a side job, doing other things, perhaps setting up your own venture. There are sites which offer staff accommodation too, usually for modest rent, hotels do it too. Good luck! Where there is a will, there is a way! Rents are horrendous, and so few places on the market, tenants are practically trapped. Kat
Very Good Video But Seasonal Pitch Not For Us, We Did Try It A Few Years Ago, I Quite Enjoy Towing And Going To Different Places Sometimes With Our Friends, Also We've Noticed That Some Are Left Empty And A Bit Sad Looking On Good Pitches! But Having Said That A Lot Of Caravan touring sites Probably Wouldn't Survive Without Them..
Hi Ronald, great that you have had a taste of both worlds. Yes, I agree staying on a seasonal pitch is completely different to touring. There is the third option too: storage & delivery to the particular site :D Would you try that, or do you enjoy towing? :-) K
Hi, great video, could I do 4 weeks in n one location then 4 in another and keep going back and fourth? I’m looking for a viable way to live in a router all year round, in one county. Thanks in advance 🙏👍
Hello! Some people choose to move from campsite to campsite every 28 days, or take a few days away from the site. However, if you plan to buy a seasonal pitch, keep in mind that you may need to provide proof of a permanent address, such as a council tax bill or utility bill.
Yes, you're correct! The 28-day limit usually refers to continuous occupancy on the same pitch. So, you could indeed decide to spend a night or a few nights in a hotel and then return to your seasonal pitch after that. It's a great way to enjoy some variety in your camping experience while still making the most of your seasonal pitch. Just be sure to check with the campsite management for any specific rules (like confirmation of your permanent address or a council tax bill) or arrangements they might have regarding temporary departures. Happy camping! /M
You can stay on your seasonal pitch for 21 - 28 days consecutively at the majority of campsites, with a 2 night gap before guests can return to the same campsite. However, there are a few campsites where guests may be asked to vacate for longer periods in between stays. /M
Good evening I have a question how I bought a seasonal place or the caravan must stand there all the time if I can take it and, for example, go for a week to another campsite Have a nice week Greetings
Hi, of course you can move your caravan and take it off site if you fancy a holiday elsewhere, that's an interesting question, thanks! Another reason for taking your van off site is doing a service. K
@@FreedomSeekers-FS I am a long haul truck driver & only home at weekends & occasionally the odd night in the week. I begrudge paying 1000 a mth for a flat I am never in . Could a seasonal pitch work for me do you think ? In close season I can easily site it at our haulage yard . I can get a proof of an address too.

@@FreedomSeekers-FS site fees for a seasonal pitchs are getting stupid, esp the time some sites are open

Where is this site it looks good?
Near Berrynarbor, North Devon :-) Kat
Its 28 days at a time. So if you leave for a night then come back you get another 28 days. 😅
Yes, in theory yes. It depends on the site's management really, to what extend they police it. K
