    Your videos and the way you speak are so relaxing. I started watching so I could learn about resin before I tried it out myself. I’m excited to try and do this with the help from your videos!! Thank you!

    I learned something yesterday and want to share it with my resin friends.....Instead of mixing resin in the sand use ELMERS GLUE! I didnt wait for the glue to dry- but I didnt pour resin on it. It was dry this morning and looked waaaaay better than mixing with resin, It was dry looking like it was right off the beach! I wont mix sand in resin again. Im going to do another one and use the same method and not fill my turtle mold full- wait 24 hours and pour over to see if it still looks great. I will let you know how it works.

    hi just use a quality pair of wire snippers and they come off easily. the ones stuck under the latex just use the leading edge of a box cutter. easy peasy

      @suzanadancks  3 роки тому

      Hi Paul, I did use a box cutter to lift it up, persistent little bugger it was but it caved in the end. Lol. Great tip mate.
      The masking liquid worked in the end...yey!

    What was the glue like substance or tape as you were calling. What's the name of it and do you need to use it before hand?

    Have you ever tried acrylic paints between coats when you mess up the colors? Me and the waves sometimes don’t get along 😆. I’ve always painted over with blues before next coat

    • @suzanadancks
      @suzanadancks  3 роки тому

      Oh yes, I agree. I actually love painting over resin with acrylic pains. It's such a wonderful platform to work on and I do it as often as I need to ( time permitting)🤗🤗🤗

      Sorry, I don't carry this product but you can get it online or in any art store. It's pricey but a little goes a long way. I've had mine for over a year.🤗🤗🤗

    Which resin did you use? I found art coat isnt stiff enough, thank you, your colors are beautiful!

    • @suzanadancks
      @suzanadancks  3 роки тому

      I used Platinum super coat. Art coat is more flexible, designed for counter tops, tables etc. If you want a really rock hard resin get Platinum 350+

    Did you coat the mold with the masking fluid before putting the resin in?

    • @suzanadancks
      @suzanadancks  3 роки тому

      No, I only coated the actual resin piece to prevent the second coat sticking to it
