- just my favorite scene in the VN that i liked......got worse in the anime
Don't like Nagisa being in this scene since she wasn't even involved in this storyline
I know that everyone is getting emotional about him defending his sister but what really got me was "it'd be fine if it was you!" Just goes to show that sunohara knew tomoya was a good person despite what everyone else thought.

Nagisa's presence played an important part for the entire series as a whole. She was Tomoya's pillar so to speak, holding him up.

Sunohara hitting Okazaki with the gut punch of "I thought it was fine if it's you" - really solidifies just how much Sunohara respected Tomoya despite it all being a ruse to make him upset. Even Tomoya was completely caught of guard because of it.

3:14 a moment that sticks with males. Friendship between guys isn't always fist bumps or parties and whatever preconceptions on bromance. There are times where we guys just got to brawl it out to get our points across. It's just a quirk/mindset that is ingrained into us. And once the fight is over without our grievances vented, we can indeed go on like it never happened in the first place. It's really nice of Clannad to showcase this in its raw honest painful form.
I wish I have a brother like that so I wouldn't be afraid of getting bullied

sunohara is such a cool guy. One of the reasons i cant rewatch clannad despite all the great moments is the way they treat him. I mean I know that he’s basically just a comic relief, but like, at least give my guy a nice ending
I remember when I first watched this episode, and the music started playing after Sunohara said, "Don't make Mei cry!" I started crying QAQ

They never been good. Clannad is just the exception, not the rule. There have been a lot of shitty harem way before Clannad.

Nobody understands, but Sunohara is not really as weak as everyone considered him throughout the series. Its just that he never really fought seriously, up till this scene. Also, the fight between Sunohara and Tomoya was justifiable bcs they both had to endure each other's bullshit throughout the whole Mei Arc, so in my honest opinion, they deserved it. First of all, Tomoya is a jackass for starting all this crap and making Sunohara worry about dating Mei! Second, Mei is no better for always visiting her brother but ignoring him to spend more time with Tomoya - no big brother would let that slide! Finally, Sunohara should have figured out himself that Tomoya would never date someone over Nagisa - he even said it himself during their fist fight! But Sunohara is too much on the naïve side.
Tbf he only looks weak because the people who beat and make fun of Sunohara were all impressive fighters by themselves. Case in point, Tomoyo (Self Explanatory) and Kyou (Which if your run the number, the homing-book feat was insane). The Rugby Club were the only one that didn't have any impressive feat, but they always play in a mob anyway.
Damnit! Clannad why must you relate to me enough that I bawl all the time! My brother and I are sorta like mei and sunohara. We were really close as kids, but when he moved out I've been lonely without him. My onii chan -3 -:')
Thats me and my sister. We are 7 years apart, but we were really close as kids but once she started university and working she started becoming sort of a jerk sometimes.

I thought.... I thought Okazaki.... and Sunohara were.... best friends.... I know Sunohara did that to save Mei..... so heartbreaking.... the ending was my favorite and saddest part because Mei watched her brother suffer and she finally said sorry.... omg I love clannad!
They win, even if they got beat up doesn't you lose on certain circumstances.

i like sunohara especially when he is angry but also when he is is doing stuff... heheh sunohara is cute handsome like but tomoyo is plain cool and handsome like..:'> ...and also episode 20 to the last was ALWAYS giving me tears..like when nagisa and ushio died..and about the emotional scenes of tomoyo ..man..CLANNAD has a very good story :)
