Yeah,...It may be an old vid -but...A very nice "true" burnout. Seems like everyone on youtube is posting "power brake" or "brake assisted" burnouts. And most people like that crap because they don't know anything about muscle cars and even less about horse-power. They think if the tires are smoking it must be powerful. But not this guy guy. He knows what he's doing. A true display of raw power gets my vote every time. I liked and subbed. Those who disliked this - don't know that even a mini van can smoke the tires if ya hold the brake and the gas pedal at the same time. Haters gotta hate I guess. Hope he's still enjoying it.
What an incredible car! Very nice sound, look and everything! I love these cars. My dad and I are rebuilding the 340 motor for my 73 Roadrunner right now. Awesome Video lol.
I remember when I was 5 and my aunt and uncle had a 71 and my aunt did that on the highway and the giddy feeling I had when she did. Of course my uncle bored the motor out himself. It was a great car. Robin egg blue with a white racing stripe and white vinyl top.
Its a small block stroker 408 .... it does sound pretty good . lol ...lumpy cam with 40 series flowmasters .. ya cant beat it for a great sound .. runs good too !
I just wanted to say my sons and I love the car wing and all and grate sound, we have a father son 73 340 roadrunner black on black that we are slowely rebuilding a 367 stroker new old stock MP crank, X heads 727 391 gears I think you have the best 73 on the net...
408 Mopar stroker engine is one that includes aftermarket assembly that increases the displacement of an engine by increasing the travel of the piston (that is, the piston moves further up and/or down in the cylinder). This engine is probably making 450 to 475 HP.
+Wayne Brown This is my buddy's Roadrunner. It currently has a 408 stroker in it. It is a monster. He'll reply on this shortly and let you know more specifics on the engine.
I love old cars because they are different from the new cars that are on the road today and I told my mom/grandma that I either want a 69 Chevy camaro or a 1974 Plymouth roadrunner for my first car
If I do get a Plymouth roadrunner I either want a 1971 or 1974 Richard Petty blue with a big block hemi that makes lots of horsepower and with a loud exhaust that will piss off the neighbors lol
@leine12345 you must be a chevy guy who can only wish he had cool factory spoilers or anything else for that matter , that you could put on your car , if you even have a car......
Mopar was the only car company making cool cars in '74. Mustang was an embarrassment, Camaro looked like a stretched out Maverick. Dodge and Plymouth had several really cool cars, into the mid 70's
Ahhhh....1974 ,I was a senior and I bought a 1970 Road Runner with a 383 pistol grip 4 speed........Those were the days!
Those 2 years of the Roadrunner are the best
Yeah, baby! Indeed.
I like '73 - '74 Road Runners, they looks great and that one moves really good! :-)
I'm building one on a rotisserie as we speak. They will get noticed more in time

Glad you liked it. Yes, he still enjoys the car and it is a beast! Indeed.
Right on!

beautiful car, I love to see people enjoy a car like that and mash the gas, no trailer or garage queen.
Had one in high school, beautiful car!
Hot take off!
I'll bet the neighbors hate it when he breaks out that car!
Yes! That car is very badass!
I'd pull up a chair and crack a cold one.
My dad had a 73 satellite Sebring. Miss that car

Such a sweet car!
daisy duke had one in the early episodes of dukes of hazzard
She sure did! But not with a 408 stroker! LOL!
6point1man whats a stroker engine?

Yea but Daisy's Road Runner didn't have that stupid spoiler on it.
@Darius World A 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner was used in Season 1. She had a 1971 in the second season and Bo wrecked it. So we're both right. Indeed.
It looks like the car caught fire!
Road Runner will never be a cheap muscle car again beep Beep
I swear, I thought I saw a coyote chasing that thing

+Wayne Brown This is my buddy's Roadrunner. It currently has a 408 stroker in it. It is a monster. He'll reply on this shortly and let you know more specifics on the engine.

Yeah, we refer to his car as the Daisy Duke car. LOL! He takes it in good stride. Nice guy and a REALLY fast car.
Angry Bird.😂
No way that’s stock
You're right! It's better than stock. Indeed.
Wait for it 0:45
My old man owns a 73 plymouth roadrunner, 440..if anyone one is interested in buying, let me know, Houston,Tx
Daisy Dukes car
@leine12345 you must be a chevy guy who can only wish he had cool factory spoilers or anything else for that matter , that you could put on your car , if you even have a car......
71 and 72 were nicer looking.
