I know people say that Regina had the most bad things happen to her and deserved her happy ending more than anyone but I feel more for rumple. He was always trying to do things for the people he loved and yet he lost everyone: his father, his mother, his wife, and his son. He darkened himself to save his son and even when he did bad things they almost completely benefited bae or his reunion with bae. Belle was the first positive thing to happen to him and he lost her too for awhile. It seems that she was the one who never gave up on him though (at least as of season 3). He often did many good and selfless things during the series and wasn’t credited for them. He eventually learned about doing the right thing just because it is right and not because it benefits you or someone you love. That in my eyes makes him more heroic and benevolent than most if not all the other characters. Rumple says that evil isn’t born it’s made... but maybe good can be made also. He came from some of the hardest circumstances and he was still able to turn things around, to love and be loved.

The most powerful magic of all truly is love.
everything you said is true and besides, just as daniel had said to regina a long time ago "the true love is the most powerful magic of all could overcome anything"
That's what i like about that actually. Most heroes have prophecies said that they'll do great deeds to become heroes. Mr. Gold had that taken a way. So he didn't have the advantage or even the guidance to do what was needed that most heroes had. Most times he went on his own feeling and at times right and wrong but always wound up being for the greater good. Then when most heroes finally get their happy ending , or what they perceive as their happy ending, they choke at the finish line ( Greek Heroes especially) . He does one more heroic effort ending in his death and his TRUE happy ending.
This was amazing. Never in a million years thought we’d get to this moment. No deals, no prices, no loopholes, no manipulation, no cowardice, no running, just a man finally willing to do the right thing for the right reason. This is his most powerful moment. And Regina’s goodbye. I couldn’t help but think of season 4 when he said goodbye to her in the car. That was his goodbye and this is hers. Friends, enemies, teacher, student, allies, family, etc. and in the end they were both proud of how far each other had come. Great character arch and great chemistry on and off screen.
Bella Scoles belle was his unfinished business. Rumple was Belle’s unfinished businesses. I think they would have met in the underworld before moving on
Regina's last words to Rumple really broke my heart she and him make the show. I'm so terribly sad that the show has ended. But I would so love a spin-off with the Queen's Of Darkness. Goodbye Rumple Goodbye Once Upon A Time. I'll miss you 😔😢😭💋❤️💖💕💘💗❤️💙💝💞💜
Rumple has always been one of my top fav characters along with Regina. He kept the show on its toes with his sneaky antics and dual lives as the Dark One and also as Belle's lover & protector...
Ok! Since he couldn’t be there to do it, here’s what I got going on in my head for Baelfire: Belle kissed her husband, the two at long last reunited. She always knew he would come back to her. But there was someone else who had been waiting longer for him. Just as they parted so Rumple could see her, an adult (or young depending on who you guys prefer) voice called from behind. “Papa.” Rumple froze. He would recognize that voice anywhere. It was a voice he hadn’t heard in years. He turned around and saw his son, Baelfire “Bae?” Rumple choked out. “Welcome home, Papa,” Bae/Neal said. Rumple’s eyes watered as he walked over to his son and embraced him. It took him hundreds of years, but he finally let go of his dark magic and found his boy once again. “We never gave up hope. We are so proud of you,” Belle said. “I have missed you both so much. At long last, I can rest in peace with the people I love,” he told them. All that was left was Gideon, which hopefully wouldn’t be soon. Wherever he was, they hoped he was safe and happy. A bright light ascended upon the three and Rumple held their hands tight as they were brought to a place they would never be separated again.
This would have made Rumple's ending perfect. It's a shame, but sometimes I think the showrunners forgot from season 4 onward about how important the relationship was between Rumple and Neal. Bae was Rumple's entire motivation. Without him, the series wouldn't have even been possible because Rumple never would have gotten involved with Regina's family, never would have given Regina the curse, never would have arrived in Storybrooke. Rumple's love for his son was what drove the entire series. Personally, I think bringing Rumple back in season 3 and killing off Neal was the worst decision the writers ever made. The show just wasn't the same after that.
They didn't show enough of Henry's reaction to Rumple's death which was a shame, but Regina's reaction was much more painful because it started with those two. Her words about how he deserved this happy ending literally broke me.😭😭😭😭😭
Everyone talks about how Hook called Rumple "old friend" or Regina gave a speech about hope to Rumple's body, as the moment where they can't help but cry...but for me, it's how masterful Lana's acting was when Regina comes into the room and Henry hugs her. Regina sees Rumple lying on the ground and clearly knows something's wrong, and the way she just looks so lost and confused as she asks what's going on and Hook tells her...the tears flow every time I watch that moment.
The Best Part of this is that Rumple who had his Destiny severed as a baby by his own mother still of his own choice ended up sacrificing his own life for the greater good and basically still became the savior he was destined to be
Its the savior after all, and the person Who deserves peace, he was take much pain and finally its free and happy with his love. Maybe he wasnt be the best person but he find the way, and he change after all, beacouse all the bad and good things that he did, was for love, only love, in the end he give his heart for save a father and a friend, for them... He deserves his happy end. For the man behind the beast
He was take more pain then anyone there. And still had the spark of light in his heart. And now this light brighter then the sun. He deserves his peace and his happy ever after.
When he died, so did my heart. No matter what he did, or who he did wrong, he's my favorite. Even tho he's happy with bell now I'm still sad :(. And when the speech of regina came I lost it. I just so hope for a season 8, still.
This was the most beautiful thing. It’s really the tail of beauty and the beast. It lets you know even at the most lowest evilest, darkest moment anything can change. People change , there’s a brighter side to any dark situation.
they had a lifetime together and those lowest evilest darkest moments, which took more of 3 years, are nothing compared to the lifetime of happiness and peace.
One of my favorite parts of his sacrifice and death is that, in spite of having his destiny stolen, he still ended up living it and dying heroically as he was intended. It adds a nice sense of hopefulness that nothing is truly stronger than good and that fate might be bigger than can be understood. For all the flaws of the last season, I knew I had to see it through for Rumpel's final fate.
Would have been funny to see their reactions if they knew he'd do that when he cut off his hand. Like damn, what a plot twist ! From worst ennemies to best friends. I truly like their relationship and how it evolved.
It makes me chuckle a little when Rumple says that. It reminds me of the end of the old movie Little Caesar, when Edward G. Robinson says, Mother of Mercy, is this the end of Rico?
I was crying when I watched this! Rumple has always been my favourite character and watching him die to save someone he has hated for so long touched my heart. Over the years he has truly became a hero! Even though he has done a lot such as going behind others backs, lying a LOT and making lots of wrong decisions. He definitely deserves to go back to Belle after the amazing sacrifice he made. I truly wish there was another way for him to be happy but knowing that he found his way back to Belle makes me SOOOOO happy! I have always been a HUGE Rumbelle fan and when Belle died I was devastated. I’m just so happy Rumple found his way back to her. I love this show A LOT and I am still watching it over and over again today. Whenever I see Rumple I just feel like smiling and crying at the same time. Because on one hand I’m so happy he’s back with Belle! But on the other, I just want him back :( If I’m being truly honest after watching this episode I never looked at Rumple the same. The first time he died to save everyone from Pan killed me inside, and I was so glad to have him back. But now I know he’s gone for good I will never look at him the same. Instead of seeing a man hiding behind a beast who only cares about power and will do anything for it, I see a true hero who puts others first and always does the right thing. Even when I’m watching him make wrong choices or go behind peoples backs. I still see that hero, and now I will always think that of him. He always thought power was more important than anything. This just proves to me that he cares about so much more! I’m so happy and emotional at the same time for Rumple and I still watch him and the hero’s every day.
I am just sitting here after finishing the show I watched years ago since 2012 and crying my eyes out over this scene and the whole fact that it's all over and rewatching and recrying over and over again... My childhood is official over :')
This scene is even more heartwarming when you remember rumple had become evil in the 1st place when baelfire had made him kill the kid with his dagger and rumple erased baes memory and became the bad guy himself
Oh god My heart is aching My eyes are full of tears I can’t even explain 😭😭😭😭 Rumple was the best character and he’s gone for his own happy ending I’ll never forget the top of his power in season 3 I loved him !
Me too.... but still I would have wished for Rumple to lose his immortality and be able to grow old and die together with Belle. So it still feels wrong to me...☹
Bell and Rumpol have one hell of a love story, same as Snow and David.. When you compare the writing on this saga with the modern day crap writing agenda of DEI of the acolyte, little mermaid, rebel moon, star wars, marvels etc. Im so happy I experienced Once Upon a Time in my lifetime. Genius from start to finnish. Pure magic!
😭Poor Rumplestinski, he gave his life as a hero, the emotional meeting between Belle and Rumple made me cry, that was the happiest ending I've ever seen, meeting his beloved in the afterlife, after death🌹
I really like Rumple's Journey, I was worried that he would end up as The Dark One by the season finale but this is ok for me seeing him pass away because he was finally able to rest and be with Belle. :> *I'm not generally ok seeing redemptive characters dies* Not that I don't want him to come back, but I think Rump should stay where he is so he can finally rest.
and although than rumple is made of acts extremely horrible and demonic in his life, he has done several good deeds he has destroyed peter pan and the black fairy he has prevented alice from sinking into the darkness and in this scene, he has gave his heart at hook for the save him from the death
That was sad yeah but it would have been even worse if he had been doomed to live a cursed immortal life never reunited with belle. He wanted to die since as early as episode 4. He got his wish and his happy ending.
i only now noticed they reunited at the wishing well, where "the waters that run below are said to have the power to return that which one has lost." i'm not crying 😭😭😭😭😭😭
hook saying "goodbye old friend" has to be one of the best lines in the whole show, with how they started out as enemies and in the end turned alies and friends
Rumple has been through so much. He really deserved his happy ending. I just wish we got to see Baelfire, and l know we couldn’t see the actor, so l wish they had at least given us the chance to hear Baelfire’s voice as Rumple entered the light, or Belle saying that Baelfire is waiting for him.
Rewatching this scene was oddly satisfying. I teared up! Regina and Hook’s words are priceless. He ended up with Belle in the end and I’m happy. Although, others make a good point that it would’ve been a fantastic bonus to have Neal there, the icing on the cake. I liked Neal! Especially, because in the next part where all realms are united you see almost every character, so it’s a nice reunion for the ending.
Yes, you're right, irony of fate...Rumple has finally turned into a savior. But let's not kid ourselves: the many centuries separated from his true destiny have left their mark. I'm convinced that if his path back to Belle had led, for example, via destroyed kingdoms or murdered heroes, then he would not have hesitated for a moment.
This was such a beautiful scene. Only one thing was missing: Bae should have been there with Belle to greet his Papa.

A hero doesn't do what's right for a reward. They do it because it's the right thing to do.
yes, the heroes do not make the good for get a reward, they do good so that the world is better
and rumple did not removed his heart for join belle, he did it for save hook and for than him and alice is finally reunited
He promised them he would find a way and he did
In my opinion Henry's reaction was way too small...that was his grandpa!!
Agree.
I love that Hook cried.
@@clarissareichling430 wish hook but I love their relationship
Maybe Henry's reaction was so little, because for me it feels like Rumple never was really a grandpa for Henry.
Regina seemed to care more about rumple dying in this scene than Henry did. That is kinda sad since rumple is his grandpa.
Baelfire REALLY should've been there too. :(
I agree, her first child should have been here too
@@soixsantes Definitely! X(

Cutekitty93 1993 doesn’t this contradict the whole hades underworld storyline
Vader Ren no because the underworld is for people with unfinished business. Rumple doesn’t have any, therefore he was able to reunite with Belle 💜
Bella Scoles belle was his unfinished business. Rumple was Belle’s unfinished businesses. I think they would have met in the underworld before moving on
Vader Ren maybe belle went to the underworld before Rumple came because her unfinished business was to be with him
Vader Ren maybe belle went to the underworld before Rumple came because her unfinished business was to be with him
Mr. Gold... I don't feel so good.
I don't want to go, I don't want to go 😂
Too soon 😂
Spider man lol 😂😂😂in Avengers Infinity war😍😍
There are some of us who still mourn Rumple's death.
How dare you ☹😂😂
@@broadwaygirl84 Yes I mourn the Dark One too.
Regina talking to Gold was more emotional than him finding belle. It makes me cry everytime I watch that part 😭😭😭😭
it's like a daughter talking to her father one last time.
No it wasn’t
Regina's last words to Rumple really broke my heart she and him make the show. I'm so terribly sad that the show has ended. But I would so love a spin-off with the Queen's Of Darkness. Goodbye Rumple Goodbye Once Upon A Time. I'll miss you 😔😢😭💋❤️💖💕💘💗❤️💙💝💞💜
I kinda ship them because they have gone through so much together but I know belle is who he's meant to be...
I bet no one ever thought when Regina cast that curse that years later they’d be dying for each other and loving one another
What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal. Albert Pike
That's so true!!
Rumple has always been one of my top fav characters along with Regina. He kept the show on its toes with his sneaky antics and dual lives as the Dark One and also as Belle's lover & protector...
Ok! Since he couldn’t be there to do it, here’s what I got going on in my head for Baelfire:
Belle kissed her husband, the two at long last reunited. She always knew he would come back to her. But there was someone else who had been waiting longer for him.
Just as they parted so Rumple could see her, an adult (or young depending on who you guys prefer) voice called from behind.
“Papa.”
Rumple froze. He would recognize that voice anywhere. It was a voice he hadn’t heard in years. He turned around and saw his son, Baelfire
“Bae?” Rumple choked out.
A bright light ascended upon the three and Rumple held their hands tight as they were brought to a place they would never be separated again.
amazing, magnificent, awesome, i love your story
You should being a author yourself, dearie..
Im writing a book myself
and you have loved baelfire you too ?
and for reminder, if rumple has wanted to become the dark one, it was to protect baelfire
Her words about how he deserved this happy ending literally broke me.😭😭😭😭😭
0:16 dammit Thanos half of the mcu just wasn't enough for you was it
😂😂😂 took me a min
They predicted it before the movie- dammit. There was no spoiler warning for iw or eg.
Lmaooo
Hahahaha
That son of a GUN! I’M GONNA KILL HIM!!
rumple truly did become the savior he was prophecized to be
This was the prophecy.
The Savior would give his life to save others.
Everyone talks about how Hook called Rumple "old friend" or Regina gave a speech about hope to Rumple's body, as the moment where they can't help but cry...but for me, it's how masterful Lana's acting was when Regina comes into the room and Henry hugs her. Regina sees Rumple lying on the ground and clearly knows something's wrong, and the way she just looks so lost and confused as she asks what's going on and Hook tells her...the tears flow every time I watch that moment.
i love your opinion on this scene, and me too i love scene because rumple dies a hero
I was and still am not ready for this moment!
He finally did a selfless act! Sacrificed himself to save the worlds!! 😭😭
he is became the savior
Belle was so beautiful
But the kiss was pointless
@@atlantasnape8757 I fell in love with this kiss 😍
@@clove001 even though it hurt
agreed
So belle and rumple are basically in heaven.. R.I.P
they can finally be together forever
@@soixsantes yep
This was the most beautiful thing. It’s really the tail of beauty and the beast. It lets you know even at the most lowest evilest, darkest moment anything can change. People change , there’s a brighter side to any dark situation.
they had a lifetime together and those lowest evilest darkest moments, which took more of 3 years, are nothing compared to the lifetime of happiness and peace.
Hook final smiles upon his old friend death because he can see what belle saw a man not a beast
Exactly, he dies by becoming what he was destined to become at his birth "the savior"
Not going to lie I bawled my eyes out at this scene
Me too oh Belle was crying in his chest ❤️
Watching this years later, still crying at this scene.
Rumple took Hooks hand, but gave him his heart😭
Would have been funny to see their reactions if they knew he'd do that when he cut off his hand. Like damn, what a plot twist ! From worst ennemies to best friends. I truly like their relationship and how it evolved.
N-no more Rumple? I always get chills in this scene, especially in the first 30 seconds of this video. And I mean serious shivers. In a good way.
But on the other, I just want him back :(
If I’m being truly honest after watching this episode I never looked at Rumple the same.
I’m so happy and emotional at the same time for Rumple and I still watch him and the hero’s every day.
everything you said is true, you are right, and rumple has finally become what he was destined to become at his birth "the savior"
and he has deserved to find belle in the beyond
I am just sitting here after finishing the show I watched years ago since 2012 and crying my eyes out over this scene and the whole fact that it's all over and rewatching and recrying over and over again... My childhood is official over :')
I will miss this show forever :'(
This scene is even more heartwarming when you remember rumple had become evil in the 1st place when baelfire had made him kill the kid with his dagger and rumple erased baes memory and became the bad guy himself
It wasn't a kid, it was Baewolf who Baelfire made Rumple kill
Regina crying over Rumple’s death.. My heart!

My heart is aching
My eyes are full of tears
I can’t even explain 😭😭😭😭
Rumple was the best character and he’s gone for his own happy ending
I’ll never forget the top of his power in season 3
I loved him !
Even in the darkest of hearts there will always be a spark of love and in time it will grow and turn into something beautiful
I agree with you, and rumple has finally become what he was destined to become at his birth "the savior"
This whole series was about Rumple and Regina and their journey from the dark back into the light.
Exactly, and their children have been their joys and their redemption

This show taught me so much. It probably shaped a part of the person I am today.

My two favorite characters Regina and Rumpel. This show was the best ever.
I am happy and glad that ramble got to be reunited with his wife again
Me too....
but still I would have wished for Rumple to lose his immortality and be able to grow old and die together with Belle. So it still feels wrong to me...☹
This scene still gets me! Hits me right in the feels even all these years later!
Both Rumple and Regina had been through a lot and both found their redemption
Exactly, in fact their children have been their joys in their lives demonic
"No more rumple"
I really like Rumple's Journey, I was worried that he would end up as The Dark One by the season finale but this is ok for me seeing him pass away because he was finally able to rest and be with Belle. :> *I'm not generally ok seeing redemptive characters dies* Not that I don't want him to come back, but I think Rump should stay where he is so he can finally rest.
Rumple and regina are my favourite characters and the fact that he died made me die in side
3:15 Stunning. Absolutely stunning. The costume, the lighting, the overall feeling...

and although than rumple is made of acts extremely horrible and demonic in his life, he has done several good deeds
he has destroyed peter pan and the black fairy
he has prevented alice from sinking into the darkness
and in this scene, he has gave his heart at hook for the save him from the death
One of the few good episodes of this season. I miss this show a lot, season 3 (especially the first half) was amazing.
In the end, he became the 'savior' he was destined to become originally.
When Hook said "Goodbye old friend" ,and Regina "Nobody deserves peace more than you." 😭😭😭

He was born to be a hero, but after what his mother did, he's walking on a long dark road, but in the end, he became the hero, to whom he was born.
Watching it again after years- Rumple found his way to Belle, after all.
yes, and he had promised of the find her without the dark magic
i only now noticed they reunited at the wishing well, where "the waters that run below are said to have the power to return that which one has lost." i'm not crying 😭😭😭😭😭😭
hook saying "goodbye old friend" has to be one of the best lines in the whole show, with how they started out as enemies and in the end turned alies and friends

Especially, because in the next part where all realms are united you see almost every character, so it’s a nice reunion for the ending.
you are right, neal (baelfire) should have been belle and welcome his father
Idk why but every time the beauty and the beast theme appears it’s like the most romantic moment
But in the end, he became savior he was destined to be, Fiona was unable to cut his faith
He was my favorite character, I’m glad he got Belle back
I didn't have the chance to cry at this scene, so I came to cry now. 😭😭😭😭
The fact it was so poetic that their relationship had changed so much that rumple was the one to save hook and the rest in the end.
